SegmentNext - Those who played the game will know that there is an achievement called "War Never Changes," it unlocks when you enter the wasteland. But at the time of this writing, 12.4% players are still in the Vault and haven't left.
It's like people aren't familiar with the fact that a lot of people will start a game, realize they don't feel like or don't have the time to really play it, save, and leave it for awhile. Not everybody pours five or six straight hours into a new game once they get it. Some of us just get distracted too. Either way, there are a lot of reasons someone may only play the first 30 minutes of a game and just sort of drop it for awhile.
dude the Vault 111 section doesn't take more than 30min
Way to completely and utterly miss the point of my comment. You're an inspiration.
When I got fallout 3 years ago it took me 6 months to leave the vault you start off in. I started over the game about 4 times and every time I didn't play for more than 35 minutes.
have to admit, first impression wasnt that good.. bud damn.. when you leave the vault and start to explore.. then the real Fallout begins.. I dont mind.. most of gamers are "casual" so who cares? let them do what they want! This game will be GOTY 99% sure.. (at first I was thinking MGS5 (after actually playing it)).. but now, im sure, it will be Fallout.. (well bugs cant spoil such amazing and deep game!)
Nah man the game is amazing but still didn't wow me like fallout 3, MGS5 really disappointed with half bakin open world/story and the muted snake. i think this year for me is the witcher 3
It all depends on how fast you play, Grap. At the 30 minute mark I wasn't even IN the vault yet, because of how long it took me to create my character. It was well over an hour until I was done exploring everything in the vault. On the flip side I had a buddy online that started at the same time and he was already level 2 long before I ever made it outside.
But why buy a game then not at least play until you get into the real game? Makes no sense no matter how you justify it.
"It does when you work in the oilfield. You pick it up. You work crazy hours. You may get some time on the weekend to play it for a moment in camp. A million reasons why he's right. Don't know why people have to deny it like it'll end the world." One in ten people buy but then don't play the game until the real game, that doesn't make sense no matter how you try to justify it.
@thesaint no that number is 1 in every 100
@ TheSaint I ask myself these same questions every time there is a Steam sale lol.
Ive just got out of the vault, saved and never had the disc back in yet.Just haven't had the time to play.
If you don't have 30 minutes to spare what's the point of even sitting down to plan a game
Plus you can start the game on an alternate account and decide to not even play.
Maybe people like me who loaded the game up, fell in love but instead of sinking my life into this game right away, I instead decided to play another game like Need for Speed or Black Ops 3 or the new Tomb Raider and now freaking Battlefront... it's just blissful chaos for game choices, not to mention Xenoblade coming out December 2015 *ugh* I guess it's more of a "it's not you, it's me" sort of thing really.
You messed up you named an xbox one exclusive , star wars battlefront which people seem to not like lol disagrees incoming
An exclusive I just got done playing on PC? What?
They're all waiting for that patch so they aren't moving an inch.
I have about 10 hours in and encoutered near 50 bugs so far. :D Happily only one crash. But i used the ''tlc'' password dozen of times, good thing I remembered it from skyrim. Btw it's funny how fanboys think it's ok that this game has so many bugs, but hey, the modders will fix it.
Well I have put about 10 or 15 hours in and I haven't really seen any bugs. Every now and then I have had corpses stick to me after looting the body and it takes a minute to shake them off. But other then that I haven't seen any real bugs in the game but I am only level 9.
Wow, I'm on Xbox One and have been playing non-stop. I have over 90 hours in it and haven't had a single issue, save for goofy stuff like a Brahmin appearing inside a house in sanctuary or my follower getting on the roof somehow. No glitches, crashes, nothing.
Jack and unholy. I'm playing on PC. BUt it's funny how you don't consider that bugs = ''bugs''. They're funny, goofy or absolutely non-important to you. If it happened it any other game, it would be a minus. But here it's actually a plus. If bethseda ever released a game with only a few minor bugs you would give it a minus that it mises the thousands of hilarious bugs? I just don't get the blind fanboysm of the bethseda bugs. I don't find it goofy when I'm stuck somewhere so I need to use the tlc password or if my character teleportts for some reason from one platform to another (happened only once but still it was during a fight and I died).
I don't mean to say that those aren't bugs. They totally are. But they aren't really hampering my experience, is all I'm saying. One time I needed to trade something with my follower and she was on the roof, so I had to fast travel and then fast travel back to get her down. That's the biggest inconvenience I've had from a "bug" so far. In a hundred hours, with a game that has this much going on at once, I'd call that pretty good. I know my experience isn't indicative of everyone else's, and maybe I've just been lucky, but I can only report on my own experience. I'm not blindly defending Bethesda, but I think the reason that some people do is just because they enjoy their games so much that the downsides are outweighed by all the good things about the game. It's kind of normal for people to do that.
Yes, orrr they are like me , i bought box edition and they were pretty slow to send it . I couldn't wait any longer so i downlaoded pirated version , played 8 h on it and then used my save on steam version . So i dont have any achviment from the first 8h on my steam page
Sen help! I have played 60 hours and I can't stop...
Same here man
12.4% of players still haven't decided on what hair style their character should have.
Yeah I think I spent over 20 minutes on the character creator. lol
I spent over 30 but I'm glad I did.
Maybe 12.4% of the players want the attention, and have this shared to the public. I always have that crap turned off
I literally could take me a hour just create the starting character I want. That's not so unbelievable. I want a great character if I'm gonna spend days using that character.
You can change your character face\body features in Diamond City for 100 caps.
Maybe bethesdas crappy engine made them feel like vomiting. Happens to me with every Bethesda game I have attempted. Luckily I discovered in fallout 4 that 3rd person mode eliminates this problem for me. Also the game picks up after 1-2 hours of play, after that it becomes very addictive. The other thing is that maybe many of those gamers went off to play another game.
