COG Writes:The new Xbox One Elite Controller commands a premium price, but when you look at all the features, this pro-controller is pretty damn slick and worth it.
I would if I had an Xbox
There's a device called Cronusmax which allows you to use other systems controllers on your PS4. http://cronusmax.com/ That way you can use the elite controller on your PS4 if you want. I'm thinking about getting one.
That's actually pretty cool, saving that link for later.
Except the paddles would be useless as you need the app to assign the paddles to buttons. In theory you could use an Xbox one to create a button layout for a ps4 game then use the cronusmax.
@gamer Well they said the paddles work for the scuff controller and you can program for them via the profiles. Maybe it's the same with the X1 elite controller?
@gamer1138 there's also a PC app for the controller so that's another option.
I would if I could find one.
I would love it more if it was reasonably priced.
I know you want the controller to be cheap but with what they put into it they cant sell it for less than 100$. You have to pay a high price for such a high quality controller.
The $150 price tag is a joke
But its worth every cent...
reason number 1 - you've spent 150$, what a joke you would be if you say that it didn't worth it
Looks sleek and seems great. But the price is pretty steep...
The elite controller makes the normal one feel cheap, its a great controller even for the price. Very durable and will last along time
People still being salty about the price.... Everyone wants somthing for free. If you actually had the controller you would know the price is completely justified. It oozes quality and has premium parts everywhere. Hell, it even has a pretty decent case to store it in. Awesome piece of tech. I hope Sony makes something similar for the DS4 as it and the original XB1 controller feel like cheap toys in comparison.
"People still being salty about the price.... Everyone wants somthing for free. " Who is asking Microsoft to give out these controllers for free? Asking for a lower price isnt the same as asking for it for free. Anyways ill probably end up getting one for my PS4 for games in which asymmetrical analog sticks are better.
Asking for a lower price is basically asking MS to give parts of the controller to you free. The controller costs more money to make than the original and if you had one you would see why it costs what it does. So yes, you people are asking them to take the hit and give parts of the controller to you for free because YOU feel it isn't worth the cost.
"Anyways ill probably end up getting one for my PS4 for games in which asymmetrical analog sticks are better." Maybe I misread your comment but how exactly would you use an Xbox Elite on your PS4?
@Not "Maybe I misread your comment but how exactly would you use an Xbox Elite Controller on your PS4?" With a CronusMax Plus of course. And the device lets you use all types of controllers with any system system. You could use the DS4 on the X1 for example. I tried it out myself and it works perfectly. @JJ "Asking for a lower price is basically asking MS to give parts of the controller to you free." Or to reduce their profit margins on the device. It isn't necessarily given you parts of the controller for free. If Microsoft did that they wouldn't make a profit off it.
My wife knows what to get me on Christmas...can't wait!
So does mine, fat chance of it though...
I don't really play on my Xbox One enough to justify the price.I mainly play on my PC & PS4 but I may get it some time next year. At the moment I'm saving up for the Oculus Rift.
Be sweet on Black Friday it comes down in price. Way down.
If I wanted to buy one right now off Amazon in the UK it would cost me £170 ($258) A serious price drop is needed in order to tempt me into buying one!!
