Well not a huge resolution difference but I guess this power gap isn't going away.

Bigpappy3513d ago

I would be happy if all developer focus on 900p for X1 and focus on always delivering on frame rate.

BitbyDeath3513d ago

Would you even go for 720p if it meant games were 60FPS?

tinynuggins3513d ago

I absolutely would. Resolution is at the bottom of my list. 720p is just fine for me as long as it looks and plays great

Festano3513d ago

Yeah, PlayStation 4 is more powerful and this will not change with DirectX 12 either. We just have to accept it.

I just wish the console had a lower price to reflect this.

Yeah..

Dx12 will not make xb1 more powerful than ps4 BUT it will make coding easier and lighting less stressful on the system and various other things like better memory management tools and such.

Above all else itl make it easier for devs to get the most out of the system so its entirely possible it will help devs hit 1080p more easily on the system.

Ps4 will always have the edge tho. If both consoles had better cpus that edge would widen i think due to bigger gpu and gddr5 on ps4. the amd jaguars are keeping the systems held back pretty close to each other i think.

Yeah I reckon it won't be to noticeable difference, but you can't argue that the Xbone'so performance matches the PS4.

looks fun, but I'll wait for PC

The original game that is currently available on the PC lacks the singleplayer campaign the upcoming EX version has(plus a newer game engine). I wanted to buy the original game when it was first announced but it's multiplayer only nature drove me away.

I was happy that they're bringing singleplayer campaign to the EX version but then I was sad when it was going to be console exclusive. Now that it is hinted of coming to the PC too I will definitely buy it this time.

This should be real fun with a VR headset.

Alexious3513d ago

Indeed! They should add support for Oculus Rift and PS VR.

Guardia3513d ago

Sadly, I'm sure it's stated that you need at least a steady 60 FPS to run VR Headsets. I could be false, but 30 FPS I don't think would really work well.

Relientk773513d ago

Just like most multiplatform games

Alexious3513d ago

Indeed. Though, given the fast paced nature of the game, it might have been better if it was 60FPS.

I'm going to play it on my 144Hz monitor when it comes out on PC.

Review: Strike Vector EX - Movies Games and Tech

Movies Games and Tech writes: When I first caught the trailer for Strike Vector EX for Playstation 4, I was immediately grabbed by its fast paced action set to a pounding hard rock soundtrack. It showcased fast aerial dog fighting in futuristic ships with battles in space to large constructs in the air. It was demonstrating all the aspects of classic arcade shooter action that I cherished in old school games such as Space Harrier and Ace Combat and it got my attention.
