Deponia is a point-and-click adventure game following the misadventures of Rufus, a guy with wild dreams of escaping his village Kuvaq, located on a junk covered world called Deponia. Developed by Daedalic Entertainment and published on 27 January 2012 in Germany for Windows and Mac, the original game was entirely in German and was the first in a planned trilogy of games by Daedalic with the second, Chaos on Deponia, being published on 12 October 2012 in Germany and the third Goodbye Deponia, being published on 15 October 2013. The English version of the first game was released on 7 August 2012 with entirely new voice acting across the board. On July 2015 Daedalic Entertainment announced that the series would be heading to iPad, with the first chapter releasing in mid-August.
Fanatical just launched Dollar Collections today. As the name suggests, these game bundles are just a dollar.
"The UK-based video games publisher Super Rare Games and Germany-based indie games developer/publisher Daedalic Entertainment, are today very happy and excited to announce their partnership and plans to bring two different 4-in-1 "Deponia" collections physically to the Nintendo Switch on September 16th, 2021 (both the collections will be very limited in print, and both will only be released via Super Rare Games)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
The Humble Daedalic 15th Anniversary Mega Game Bundle just launched today. It features games like Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, State of Mind, Silence, and more. A percentage goes to support charity.
I played this on PC, but could not stand the protagonist. He is so freakin annoying. I know he's supposed to be annoying, but Daedalic took it too far imo.
Yes!!
Glad to see this reaching a wider audience. Hope the sequels make it across. It's possible since Daedalic are bringing another of their games to PS4 (The Whispered World II). Could be another publisher deal like Devolver Digital and Paradox Interactive.
