Think of a survival horror game developed by Capcom in which you explore a mansion. Yep your mind instantly jumps to Resident Evil but Capcom have a history of developing other horror franchises. In 2001 the developer managed to get their hands on the Clock Tower series taking the gameplay in a completely different direction from what we’d seen before in the third installment of the franchise; Clock Tower 3.
Digitally Downloaded writes: "So for this week’s Friday Ten we’re going to look at ten of the more obscure titles that were released on the PlayStation 2 that we believe deserve a second run. Because the PlayStation 2’s library is just so massive, this list isn’t every classic niche game, of course!"
You console gamers are hypocrites. Who cares about resolution? It's all about the gameplay, amrite.
Bow down before the master race.
Why not just allow us to insert PS2 discs Sony? You have a working emulator in the firmware just as Xbox One yet they allow disc. Upscaling.....what a cash grab.
I desperately want all of the Tony Hawk, Burnout and SSX games. I would also love Destroy All Humans 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Mashed: Fully Loaded and Downhill: Domination!!!
I hope Sony is actually able to do this kind of stuff, because if not, I'm honestly going to be very disappointed. And if they can't really tackle niche games that a lot of people loved, then what's the point? I was very happy they put up Bully and Manhunt last week though. Lets hope they can keep it going!
Also, I live in Ireland and they really need a category with all of the PS2 games in it. It's a bit messy.
Bryan continues walking down the horrored halls of history, describing how the “Golden Age” of survival-horror broke down and how action-oriented gameplay soon gripped mainstream videogame horror.
Drew Leachman writes: The From A to Z series lets our editors go back and take a look at games from past generations that are classics, overlooked gems, or just titles they remember fondly. The idea behind this is to pick five games from each letter of the alphabet, once a week to showcase. This delivers 26 weeks and 130 games to talk about. Hopefully it sparks some conversation, and of course plenty of memories.
Our second series will focus on Sony’s sophomore entry into the console business, the PlayStation 2.
Let’s continue with the letter “C”.
Seems incredibly different from the earlier Clock Tower games, though that may be for the best. Despite that, they should leave the light arrows to Princess Zelda methinks.
Never got around to playing this for some reason. Really should dig the old PS2 out.
Seems like a title that's worth a look. Some of the storyline looks like it gets a bit crazy, in an amusing way. Shame that some of the combat is a bit fiddly though.

This is me playing Clock Tower 3. It's final boss is SO CHEAP! As you can see, I uhh...kinda lost it.
This game is honestly kind of boring... I rather Haunting Ground as a Clock Tower successor. I had both games at one point, sold both of them at pretty high price tags. Kinda regret solding Haunting Ground though.
