That's just one person. Playing the game on your own machine, instead of a video also makes a difference. Given the same development resources, this can look much better.

Of course. I should add I meant image quality-wise since the Wii U is vastly inferior to whatever is running this and still manage to look almost as sharp in 720p with no anti aliasing. Apart from that MK8 really does look better in every other way.

I think all these Nintendo games people are putting on unreal engine 4 look bad and just show Nintendo games don't need to use that kind of engine

I completely agree and the first thing people use as an excuse is that this is one person. But with the WiiU being inferior hardware it shouldn't be an issues with them creating something that looks better than the original games...
