They have the chance to reach Hearthstone levels of success, were they to release a more fleshed out version of Gwent.

Just something to think about.

I agree, I spent a huge chunk of my Witcher 3 time collecting cards and playing. I'd definitely buy a standalone game of Gwent.

Rewarding fans? Having the hearts of stone limited edition with physical Gwent cards not available on xbox really annoyed me.

JamesBroski3517d ago

Couldn't find that limited edition anywhere...

Immorals3517d ago

Could find the limited edition, but it was PS4/PC only. Never a statement explaining it.

What are you talking about? It's been for sale on Gamestop's site for a couple of weeks now.

The really perplexing part about it is that I never saw it once listed for PC despite what others have said. Only PS4 and Xbone. Even still, the physical Gwent bundle is a standalone package. Meaning it isn't an all-inclusive bundle packaged with one version of the game or the other. You'll simply purchase the bundle and get emailed a digital code to download the HoS expansion. So therein lies the question of why was there not a PC listing?? As far as I saw, Gamestop only ever listed the PS4 and Xbone versions when it would have been just as easy to have listed a PC version, as well. And yet no one seems to know what happened - not even the guys from CD Projekt. The whole physical launch was a missed opportunity due to a complete lack of communication on CDPR's part.

Immorals3517d ago

Maybe in the US, but it was a game exclusive here and the staff all looked very confused when tyhe didn't stock it!

maelstromb3517d ago

Ohhh, I see! Definitely an oddly disjointed release on CDPR's part... not sure what happened there.

Toonge3517d ago

Just think of a multiplayer version of gwent

GamePeace3517d ago

Hasn't got the potential to be a standalone game...

Gwent is great where it's at. Not sure a standalone would have a lasting factor.
