I am not sure why this is but the close cousin that is known as the side scrolling shooter has always taken the cake with gamers. Overhead scrolling shooters are a viable, and interesting lot, if given the chance. Most of the team that brought us Crossy Road are behind Shooty Skies for Android and iPhone. What follows is well, pretty interesting to say the least."
Shooty Skies is the latest game by the crew that developed Crossy Road - this time teamed up with two Australian game industry veterans in a company called Mighty Games. This game features loads of characters that can be unlocked by paying 500 coins in the gacha, but there are characters who cannot be unlocked that way. Their names don't show up in the store - only silhouettes. These secret hidden characters can only be unlocked by specific actions in the game.
Shooty Skies is a new shmup/bullet hell by Mighty Games, a collaboration of developers that includes Hipster Whale's Matt Hall and Andy Sum. This shooter features a ton of characters to unlock as well as prizes to earn, but to do that you must earn coins. You can get a lot of coins the conventional ways, and you can cheat for free coins as well.
