Cool, I'm really pumped for this MP; Using the SP world lure to create powers made me hyped for it and b4 any hate U2,U3 and TLOU were all p-p servers. can't wait for december beta will subscribe to ps plus to try it out.

Thatguy-3103517d ago

Yea I don't really mind about the servers since it never bugged me with those games. I'm anxious to try it out and form a better opinion about it. I'm skeptical but we'll see how it plays out.

jon_snow3517d ago

Only one more thing is required in MP to make it best; an option to Turn on or off the powers and kickbacks as that is option that real ps4 community wants.

Other complain like PtoP is mostly by trolls as every Uncharted MP was PtoP.

"b4 any hate U2,U3 and TLOU were all p-p servers"

Exactly!! All those last-gen games used old technology so peeps shouldn't get upset with the new-gen systems using old technology even if we're now required to pay for PS Plus to play online.

ABeastNamedTariq3517d ago

How sneaky. Dedicated servers are technically old technology as well, right? We had them last gen.

Genuine-User3517d ago

Don't you pay for Xbox Live?

Liqu1d3517d ago

Lmao, dedicated servers are old technology.

8 maps is fine for launch looking forward to hearing more good news for UC4's MP

Crimzon3517d ago

I'd say it's pathetically low, to be honest. The average should be around 15, and definitely no less than 10. Still, I'm sure they'll have plenty of DLC and a convenient season pass to take care of that.

TBH Uncharted 4 multiplayer is just a bonus and icing on the cake. Its really the campaign that makes it a masterpiece! If it didn't have multiplayer it would still be a masterpiece to me because I believe in Naughty Dog!

-Alpha3517d ago

Hopefully they follow the trend set by other devs and keep map DLC free.

Genuine-User3517d ago

You need a reality check. Titanfall base game released with 15 maps, and that was a full priced multiplayer game.

15 maps is not an average or standard in any game.

ABizzel13517d ago

Hugely mixed feelings about UC4 multiplayer. It looks fun, but almost every bit of news they've dropped has been lackluster since the trailer.

8 maps simply isn't a lot, and now this Multiplayer Beta needs to be big for them, for the sake of the MP mode.

What I do hope is that it also means there are 8 co-op missions as well per map. I prefer co-op in Uncharted much more than multiplayer anyway, and it's often much better.

If they can at least vastly expand and give us a great co-op mode, then I'll be happy. We'll know about MP come PSX.

freshslicepizza3517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

don't just look at the number of maps, it is the quality that counts and don;'t forget uncharted games are known for the campaign, that's why i see the mp as a bonus.

ABizzel13517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

@moldybread

The maps and even the lack of dedicated servers I can get over, but the Microtransactions is what Naughty Dog needs to come out and FULLY address.

It looks like fun, and I'm sure it will be, but people just want a pure Uncharted 2 experience with weapons on the map, everyone starting with the same weapons, no radar, no sidekicks etc...., and everyone will be happy.

If Naughty Dog simply showed this mode and an Uncharted 2 mode, then no one would be complaining.

Yes we all play Uncharted for the campaign, but it actually has a multiplayer mode that has real potential, and it sucks that it's trying to be like everyone else when all many of us was is just a classic Uncharted 2 mode.

There's a petition going on asking for a Classic mode
http://community.us.playsta...

If we get it everything's golden. But as of now I'm looking at Uncharted for single player and Co-op.

It's the same deal with Halo 5. This is Sony's biggest Action game, out of all the games on PS4 this is the game that should have an incredible Single Player and Multiplayer.

No one's worried about single player, but Multiplayer does't look like it's at the quality it needs to be overall. Looks like potential fun, but we just want a truly competitive mode like UC2. Here's hoping again that Co-Op received a lot of love and got the biggest upgrade.

Co-op was always fun, but it could be almost as big and as fun as Single Player if they expand on it, with more missions (each multiplayer map should have a co-op story mission), and possibly do a4v4 / 5v5 version of co-op where the enemy team plays as the sidekick classes, while the hero team tries to unlock treasure. Kind of like a Left 4 Dead Mode. That would be so freaking boss.

S2Killinit3517d ago

so you gain special powers to be used in MP, by playing the SP. Sounds like fun times.

Tankbusta403517d ago

After MGO3 shipped with 5...now this is 8...my god atleast call of duty ships with 12 annually

fallacious3517d ago

cod has 12 maps on launch? it feels like youre just playing the same 4 on rotation.

Tankbusta403517d ago

Be that as it may...it still ships with 12 which is the point

Crimzon3517d ago

I haven't played the last couple of COD games but they used to ship with about 16 maps before. That's probably part of why they were such successful games, because they always had a huge amount of content on the disc. The matchmaking was always good about cycling through them and preventing repeats as well, which did a lot to stop the games getting stale. This was all the way until Modern Warfare 3, anyways. Maybe it was different with Ghosts & Advanced Warfare, I didn't play them.

phantomxll3517d ago

Halo ships with 20 maps at launch. And then another 18 post launch. Now that's map service.

Genuine-User3517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

A game renowned for its multiplayer launches with 4 extra maps in comparison to Uncharted. Who would have thought?

jetlian3517d ago (Edited 3517d ago )

halo has 12 more and older cods had 15 maps average. Plus both have heavy coop modes.

Still getting it but servers should be there.
