James writes - "Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, the long awaited follow-up to the 1988 original Wasteland role-playing game, has now finally arrived on new gen consoles after being developed by inXile Entertainment. Can this old school apocalyptic RPG find a place in the modern era of gaming or could it be a case of failing to appeal to the mass market?"
DSOGaming writes: "GOG.com has announced that the Winter Sale 2019 has begun, and is offering Wasteland 2 Director's Cut for free for the next 48 hours."
Frank writes: "No, it's not the most elegant port out there. But if you're a Switch owner who's yet to experience Wasteland 2: Director's Cut, now's your chance to enjoy one of the most satisfying CRPGs to release in recent years."
Wasteland 2: Director's Cut appears as a run-of-the-mill turn-based RPG, but certain qualities hold the game up to higher standards.
Easy 5/5
Score is crazy bro.
This score makes me feel like scrap...
Recommending the premade party is absolutely folly in a game that heavily dependent on your party having the right skills and stats.
Speaks volumes about this review really and the 3/5 score is way off base. This is one of the best RPG out there for the console with plot and consequences that is superior to any of the modern Fallout or even the Witcher 3.
The only downside is that game is highly dependent on RNG skill checks that can drastically alter your game experience. On the PC with the quick load master race, save scuming is a normal gameplay experience. For the PS4 it feels out of place and not streamlined enough.
