The shameful conclusion to the Batman: Arkham Knight PC debacle

MWEB GameZone writes: The Batman Akrham Knight PC debacle has reached a shameful end.

Warner Bros. refuses to make amends by offering something, anything for free to PC gamers. Remember, we're talking about a ridiculously expensive game.

Nothing about Batman Arkham Knight on PC is cheap - except for Warner Bros attitude.

The story is too old to be commented.

Those who waited patiently and did not seek a refund should have at the very least been given something IMO. This just let's the consumer know that they shouldnt waste their money or their time with the company. It took almost 5 months time to fix...

GortJester1276d ago

5 months is insane for an admitted broken mess. No one should down-vote that.

Its closer to 4 but feels like forever...

HanCilliers1276d ago

Totally, I am shocked by how WB played this whole thing.

Featuring_Dante1276d ago

This is truly how the Batman in video games died, Rocksteady/WB killed him.
Another shining example why you shouldnt fall into the hype. I bought it used 2 months later and still felt ripped off.

neoandrew1276d ago

Used? So on console, that had like... ZERO problems like the pc version, wtf u a talking about? Ripped off by what? You meaqn that it is a poor and weak game, then hell yeah, agree.

HanCilliers1276d ago

The console versions were... perfect. No blame to WB there.

neoandrew1275d ago (Edited 1275d ago )

Yeah, but pc games don't have USED versions, everything is digitally locked.

Jdoki1276d ago (Edited 1276d ago )

A gesture of goodwill from Warner would have been appreciated.

I can understand that they didn't want to give away the Season Pass as that would piss off all the people who paid for it.

But why not give away Steam codes for some older Warner Bros games. Shadow of Mordor, the previous Batman games plus DLC etc. And a discount code for Mad Max etc.

The way WB handled the PC version and the debacle afterwards has been disgusting. The performance of the game is still not that good, and it appears they reduced some graphical effects rather than actually fix stuff (Nvidia Gameworks smoke and debris are the biggest examples)

All I can say is that I'm extremely grateful for steam refunds. Would have been lost without it! Most of their revenue must come from consoles if they're willing to treat pc gamers like this because it really doesn't make sense! Most companies deal with complaints professionally and the way this was dealt with by wb is amateur at best.

HanCilliers1276d ago

They could've done something -anything. You idea of a free older WB game is excellent.

aquaticDonut1276d ago

I'm just glad GMG was willing to give me a refund for this garbage.

godofiron1276d ago

now that... is just atrocious.
