Remedy's Thomas Puha answered some questions on Quantum Break's difficulty and combat/exploration split.
Lets just use the game's time bending element and make is easier for yourself.
My guess is that it won't be as simple as that. I asked Remedy on the matter at last Gamescom, and according the spokesman, difficulties and abilities will be balanced, in order to assure the game won´t be easy.
People keep making this mistake. It's not really complicated to understand that developers don't want to show themselves repeatedly dying while demonstrating a game.
Yep. There will be a timer of some sort on most of the abilities; which were disable for demo purposes.
Agreed, I don't think it will be as easy as people think
Some form of cool down period like with special abilities in RPG's
From what I've seen so far and Remedy's past games, Quantum Break will likely be a strong GOTY 2016 contender.
Quantum Break seems to have all the content of a great game the cast, story, special abilities and exploration. This can be a real block buster. Day one purchase come April 2016.
Let's use the game's time bending and make the game come out NOW!!
Good, I was a bit worried that it would be way too easy from those videos
Me too! Also nice to read that it won't be just linear all the way. I hate those games.
So I guess you hate games like Uncharted or The Last of Us? I like liner games, as long as it has a nice story and gameplay.
I was starting to think this game would be really linear. Hoping it's a lot more open than it has seemed!
"There is a lot of just exploring, talking to NPC’s and being immersed in the world, we cut out the exploration bit since we only had 5 minutes of stage time. Rest assured, we got a great balance of action, adventure and time breaking down craziness." Nice.
Yeah, I liked that bit. Linear games are often a deal breaker for me!
i don't enjoy games too much like call of duty where you are essentially being guided from point a to point b. the more is see of this game the better it looks.
I loved the half exploration of Alan Wake and its perfectly creepy Bright Falls. Hopefully theyll be translating that into cool time bending and scifi locations
Still need to play that game...
Please do it, it's fantastic.
It's the reason I got a 360 several years ago.
Indeed. That place felt so dense with collectible extras and history behind it.
I love exploration!
Oh? This is good news!
Looking forward to the game. Might actually convince my fried to buy it so that I can play it on his Xbone too.
Sounds great! But how about an Alan Wake 2
Maybe after QB and knowing Remedy I will say a 2020 release .lol ( we are talking Remedy here)
2020 feels long
2020? Maybe 2025...
@ Alexious that more a GT time frame for making a game .lol
Not necessarily. Alan Wake started development in 2005, released in 2010, QB will release in 2016, so going on average we can expect a 5-6 year wait, which would put us at 2021 or 2022
It sounds like the broken timeline will be able to offer disjointed levels and such. I've not really heard anything about Quantum Break though, but not really been looking out for it. Like others have said, if it's anything like the second half of Alan Wake I won't complain.
very excited for this, love what remedy can do sod COD, BF etc other devs should take note.
About time this released and showed us all.
