Sure, it's too early to tell anything about the console, but that's what makes speculation fun!
The catastrophic launch of MindsEye dominates the Direct this week - but how does the game actually look and run on PS5…
Keiichiro Toyama—the creator and original director of the 1999 Silent Hill—shared his personal thoughts on the recently announced remake by Konami, reflecting on what the project means to him after more than two decades:
“I felt something similar when the game was adapted into a movie. It deeply moved me to see the names of the characters and locations I had created come to life visually, even though I wasn’t directly involved. That wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of the fans and the dedication of the developers who’ve kept the series alive.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the remake evolves this time. With the advanced technology we now have, I’m sure I’ll be surprised by how the game is reimagined. Since the original was built for the first PlayStation, there will naturally be challenges—like the camera and controls—but I’m eager to see bold and creative solutions to those elements.”
Haha Not only is bold and creatively not what the industry wants, it’s not what most people want.
They want to get scammed and pay twice for a thing they already own.
Was the SH2 remake even bold? Or was it more or less just a 1 to 1 over the shoulder remake?
Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered‘s announcement was a welcome surprise to many, older fans along with the younger generation would be able to experience the epic PS1 game again with some new things that would improve the experience such as voice acting.
This is really stupid and just baffling, the explanation for it is also a big non answer, very disappointing.
Square Enix has really gone down the drain. Even FF7: Rebirth, while being an incredible acheivment seemed very sloppy in some areas... namely performance. These folks wonder why their games don't sell but aren't putting in a decent effort.
They seem to be suggesting that people didn't like the new stuff in WotL, hence it's non-inclusion, but they're probably secretly planning to add it as DLC down the line, they just don't want to tell people that because they think it'll get an even worse reaction. When they do eventually add it, they'll be like, "We listened". Of course, it won't be free though, so they'll still get flak for it. On the other hand, maybe I'm too cynical.
I doubt they would put out an hd remaster/remake of an old mario game for a launch title. If they are smart they would make Mario Galaxy 3.
Heres what i think they should do.
Mario Galaxy 3
Mario kart 9 or even better, Nintendo Racing would blow shit up.
New Zelda ported over
Metroid
TP support like Dragon Quest 11 and such.
Pikmin 4
1 or 2 New IP's
Revive an old franchise
That is what the presentation should look like because that would give their console a skyrocketed launch. The only other thing i think could make it a sure success is an open world online pokemon which they just seem like they wont do.
They definitely do not want to do what they did last time and release old ports as launch titles. I'd say do the ports later, but the launch has to comprised of just "new" games. Zelda Wii U needs to a definite launch title. That game will push systems.
In all honesty, a nice launch lineup isn't going to make system successful. For example, Vita has a very strong launch lineup, but its hardware sales fell flat later on. It's the release schedule of the games after the launch all the way up to the next holiday season that matter the most.
If predicting.
Then
Dragon Quest X
Dragon Quest XI
3D Super Mario
Spike Chunsoft game
and all the Zelda need to be a launch title BS is dumb.
- Borderlands (gamefaqs.com/boards/631516-wi i-u/72123660)
- Dragon Quest (polygon.com/2015/7/28/9057139 /dragon-quest-10-11-nintendo-n x -ps4-3ds)
- Zelda U (all the delays and no comments on it)
- Some generic game to "take advantage and show off the NX hardware" (because always)
- 2D Mario game (cheap and fast to produce)
- Call of Duty game (because common sense)
- Some sports game, my money is on FIFA (common sense)
- Assassins Creed game (see above)
