Mushroom 11 is one of the weirdest games of the year. It's also one of the best.
GameCrate lists the top indies of 2015 and crowns the winner of this year's Golden Crate Award.
AG from EGMR writes: "Mushroom 11 does a lot right. It's well-designed, it's fairly good-looking, it strikes a good balance between calming and challenging. Unfortunately, it plays out in a manner most typical for platformers. It is saved by its unique 'character' and the simple to understand but tricky to master method by which you control it. This is a very good, well-made game that hardly has a unique setting but makes the experience unique with the manner in which you go about navigating the dangers of this desolate landscape."
On Episode 124, Mike, Jay, and Corey are joined by Chase, aka AwakenedHeathen, from DadsHideout.com. Mike conducts two interviews this week, the first is with Untame, the devs of the 2D cinematic puzzle platformer Mushroom 11 and the last is with Kevin Cole, an independent developer working on a game called Haque. Topics discussed on this week’s show are Steam Link, Star Wars Battlefront, Witcher 3’s Heart of Stone, Destiny’s microtransactions, puzzle/platformer trivia, and more.
