New report sheds light on the development of Bungie's shooter.
Liana "Hippy" Ruppert, a former Community Manager at Bungie, spoke out about how crunch affected the Destiny 2: The Final Shape DLC.
Crunch+Bad management+Greedy disgusting monetization.
I'll tune back in when D3 is dropping and they've toned down the monetization & the foundation is good
Final Spape campaign getting very positive reviews. I am enjoying the Final Spape campaign myself. Definitely worth the delay.
Bungie veteran and current CTO, Luis Villegas, has left the company after fourteen years and has joined Sony PlayStation as its new Head of Technology.
"I feel incredibly lucky because as part of my new role I get to still work closely with my Bungie family."
New role and more pay and still can work closely with Bungie
Bungie - "Join our development team to see the new updates arriving with Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Releasing on June 4, 2024."
Really does feel sad reading about how much stuff they changed and how Activision played a part in so much change.
There is a part of me that really wants to just hate everything about the game, but I have found myself playing it every night since Taken King came out.
it's a great game that had such massive potential, sadly I don't think it will ever get there anymore. Everytime we hear about something that sounded so cool and would have been a real big push for players... we then hear about it getting butchered and dropped or passed over thanks to activision.
:-(
This basically confirms that someone up thought the game was far too story focused and decided to change and the writers and composer said "screw this shit". Now that TTK has released I feel they have redeemed themselves but I am interested in what the came was original intended to be. You live and you learn I guess, hopefully Activision gets the message.
