Finally! I have been waiting for this rant. People are getting screwed over with those Season Passes.

I would rather get Fallout 4 and Bloodborne GOTY Edition for that price.

Yeah, 10 bucks for 2 emotes? WTF? The rest can be unlocked so the Deluxe Edition is useless. EA are ripping off people and the problem is that the people are ok with it.

Sadly many are going to buy both - Game and the DLC. Sometimes you buy it on impulse "screw it.. It's only this time..."

I've come close to such moment so many times only saving grace was the game wasn't available on the shelf. Hehe

the game evolve kind of died largely because of the overpriced dlc model too. this game will get tons of hype, likely sell very well but die off rather quickly i imagine.

from what i've seen the game itself doesn't really look all that fun or interesting aside it takes place in the star wars universe.

A few days ago I saw that the Season Pass has already 30 5-star ratings on PSN and the only thing I could think of was "who can be so stupid?"
I fully agree with Joe on this one, we're hurting the future of this industry by supporting these kind of practices.

Everyone that wants this game with everything included should just wait a year cause you know EA is gonna bundle everything in for a cheaper price.... Probably much sooner too if sales are low enough when this game releases(hint,hint)

Funny how you can get more content from a single player only experience then a multiplayer only experience

I could literally play Fallout 4 straight for 3-4 hours when I first get it while someone else plays Battlefront for 3-4 hours straight yet in the end I've probably not scratched the service while the other guy has most likely played on every map and played half the modes. Then just continues to rinse and repeat the same things while I continue to look for new things in Fallout 4s world.

In the end both games are the same price. Hell you could toss in the season pass and you'd probably get more in Fallout 4 without it's own season pass....DLC stuff which lets face it Bethesda does deliver on if you take in account Fallout 3s and New Vegas DLC

Yeah I know, I havent played Fallout 4 but judging from my experience from Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim that's what probably is going to happen.

You dont need to play Fallout 4 to judge it because you know it will have tons of unique content and quests. Hell, Fallout 4 E3 trailer has more locations shown than Battlefront will ever have. And thats a trailer.

Even Fallout 3 has probably five times as much unique content as Battlefront will have with season passes included but I wouldn't say that's the main point. Star Wars fans were hoping for BF3 to happen but EA simply couldn't resist cashing in on this so heavily that I'm not sure whether I still want to support it. We don't even know yet how stable the game will run at launch and how worthwhile the content on disc actually is.

Pretty much EA and screams incomplete game (looks at incoming free dlc) - EA doesn't like remasters/remakes because they rather milk with season passes and DLC charging us with what we don't even what is on the season passes.

It really does suck. I bought Destiny and season pass because I wanted to play with friends. I wasnt told(I should've done my research)Taken King wouldnt be part of the season pass. Which I assumed was a dlc I would get with the pass. Boy was I wrong. All it did was give you a discount on the expansion. $40 instead of $60.

Now Destiny just collects dust because I refuse to buy TK. My day one purchases are becoming less and less due to Season Pass. You're better off waiting for a GoYE, I just cant do it for certain games. I love that CD Projekt Red and 343i are giving away free dlc.

Even without looking at the season pass, the stand alone game battlefield 4 (years old game) offers way more then battlefront.

He makes many good points, like having to pay for content that should be free. It already is very bad that some finished content of this already barebone game is placed behind a "deluxe edition" (2 emotes for 10 dollar).

I've never heard this guy before but I totally agree with him on WHEN to buy a season pass. Buy it when you do know what is fully coming out. There is no penalty, especially in this case, in buying a pass later when you know when and what you're buying!

well the longer they hold to that pricing the more it loses its appeal with few gamers available specially when its online only game.

so i believe they will heavily reduce its price on physical format in hope you spend your money on season pass.

either way i stopped paying for half games in full price, only single player games are worth the money at release because what you see is what you get.

multiplayer games after few weeks feel shallow due to repetition and they know this very well so the season pass for multiplayer games will just become worse.

I loved battlefront ps2. And I freakin love star wars, but I am going to pass on battlefront. That season pass is ridiculously over priced.

And I wasn't inpressed with the third person shooter mechanics found in the game either, too many times I'd have my aiming reticle pointed at the enemy only to find my bullets were obstructed by obsticles, like REALLY!? never have I had this problem in any third person shooter before, it seems like tps was tacked on to give it that "not a battfield skin" excuse, but really, even though it's not entirely a reskin, it isn't what I call a proper battlefront game, and it certainly is not a proper third person shooter either.

While playing in first person view I did enjoy my time with the beta,however i feel cheated that it's called battlefront and not Star Wars <insert title>. This is a cash grab for namesake of a treasured franchise that has long since been established in the gaming industry, with skipping the last generation of gamers, and bringing back a name to saltivate fans desire to once again play a battlefront game.

While I dont discourage prospective buyers from buying this game, I am simply offering my opinion from a fan of past battlefront games. It will surely be enjoyed by many people i'm sure, but this game should not have ever been called a Battlefront game.

I'm about to just give up on modern gaming. It's such trash. Pay more get less. That's the motto for this generation and even last. Charging for animations,weapon skins,maps,etc. most games nowadays are extremely overrated anyway. Can't believe people even care for any of the garbage games coming out. PS2 era was the last great console generation and it looks like it will be the last. As gaming becomes more and more mainstream, the more and more greedy these publishers will become and you can expect to have features that used to be free taken away and charged separately. Modern gaming is a cancer. Only the so called "gamers" can change it. Problems is 90% of the community are casual clueless idiots. That is all.

Top comment mate, you're bang on. I don't think i ever complained about gaming in the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation, or any generation before that, it was just good old gaming without worrying that you are going to get an incomplete game at launch.

DLC, Microtransactions, all that rubbish, it's destroying gaming.

After this years E3 i was more excited for games than i have been in a while, but it's stuff like what EA does that has you crashing right back down to Earth.

This is why I'm not buying it. I'll vote with my wallet. I'm getting Fallout 4 which should give me more bang for my buck. And if I love it, I'll get the Season Pass which is $30 I think. Which gives 4 $10 packs + anymore they create. Also I'm getting Need for Speed. I played the Closed Beta and liked it. I loved Underground and they did this justice aside from the always needing internet. I hate that it HAS to use Internet but I have it so whatever. The more backlash this season pass gets, the more we vote with our wallet, the easier it'll be for EA to see they can't get away with murder. EA is being targeted now, but we need to get this rowdy over All these over priced season passes. Don't just spread the hate here on n4g share it everywhere. Daylight robbery. This is perhaps the only instance when I would like to see a game fail, assuming that said failure would give EA enough of a kick up the ass to stop their bend over a barrel pricing practices.

EA wants to pull an Activision, but isn't as smooth at doing it.

What you need to do EA is sell the game first, then sell two expansions, and then sell the game all over again with an entire new take on the story, therefore making it seem like you're doing the fans a good service (but really just taking all their money.)

GET THIS!!! On PSN there is a $70 edition that comes with the season pass and there's a $90 bundle that just comes with Han Solos blaster among other junk! My buddy was so excited that he pre ordered the $90 version to find out 3 weeks later that there a $20 cheaper bundle that COMES WITH THE SEASON PASS. Sony and EA can fuck each other up the ass!!

Just cancelled my preorder for the standard edition. Beta was fun for a few games but didn't grab me overly. The community will get divided by the premium extras. While thinking I'll wait for a GOTY version, agree with earlier comments that this will be kept at a high price for a fair while (EA and Disney steer). And in the meantime, other games will release that do demand attention, so realistically, I'll never play Battlefront anyway. Not feeling bad about that.
Hope those that get it enjoy their time though...
