When sony announced the share button and the fact it would be up to the developer it was only a matter of time before someone said no for one reason or another... Well here we are and it's licensing that's the problem.
DB Xenoverse still blocks it. Matter of fact, I tried again the other day to remote play with it, and it still has the "blocked screen" bs. Some devs just aren't with the times. Will wait on this game and see what the verdict is, as far as screenshots and remote play go. I'm not supporting them full price if they choose to block their game off like that. Hope you guys enjoy, in the meantime!
That's a point right there, instead of playing and enjoying the game, they cry over stupid stuff thats not even needed that's distracting you from the game.
make a statement with your wallet, i was considering this game, but will not buy because of this. I have many other games i can play, and especially with rpgs i like to log events and progress with video and screenshots.
To be honest, yes it sucks but it's nothing game breaking like censorship. The game itself is still intact.
If you support theses type of games by not buying, we probably see less of these games localised. sure by all means voice your discontent so they will do better next time but seeing these types on comments on like twitter is kind of silly especially when the majority of us really want to see more of these niche jrpgs games localised.
Tales games usually make it to the west, you're not wrong though, in general i try to support jrpgs so more of them come west, even the smaller titles on the vita. I just have too many others to play that without this its one i can replace with another jrpg
I think they're disabling the function until this game release in NA which is 3 days from now. If the function is still disabled, then AND ONLY THEN, complain.
And yet you didn't comment on a single other article about this game. Not one of the positive reviews, not a single other article.
I find it hard to believe that you could have had any interest in this game, and yet not express that until you've found the singular negative article about it and then confirmed that this negative thing has erased that supposed interest.
you are right, i haven't commented on any articles, but i've watched gameplay and trailers for this, looks like a good game, but if its truly missing this feature, there are tons of other jrpgs that i'm just as interested in. I can only play so many having a vita and ps4.
I did say vote with your wallet, if the feature doesn't matter to you, get it and enjoy the game, if you are like me and want all jrpgs to be able to stream/capture video/screenshots then might as well get another game.
Until someone hacks your steam account and the crappy customer service means you lose EVERYTHING Ive been burnt once... I will stick to discs because I actually OWN it.
You can stream the ps3/4 versions you just gotta have a hd pvr, so it's down to personal preference.
the japanese are the weirdest bunch when it's about business. Personally i beleive it's some kind of damage controll, they were false advertising the game and don't want actually see you what they really produced. Just check the news.
Although i beleive if they could have made it possible that only one person can see what's going on in TV screen - they would have made it. Control freaks...
Man I miss the old days when "entitled" "gamers" didn't feel the need to bitch about every little thing like no share button. Did you record videos from rpgs before share button? If you did whats the big deal now? I don't understand consumers these days.
Free advertisement or loss of sales? I don't understand those who watch let's plays and streams. Are they interested in buying or not, if they were, and they end up watching all of it and decide to not to buy, that would be bad right?
I kinda hope they take this off once it comes out in other territories? I was really excited to stream and record some boss fights. Been playing these games for a while now and I've always wanted to save stuff.
This also includes screenshots aswell as recording gameplay and if you try and stream the game on the ps4 it will only stream the audio.
Sorry I don't have a website or anything to post this on but I imagine some people will want to know before it's out in north america in a few days.
They'll most likely remove the restriction at some point :)
Gaming in 2015 ...features that sometimes SUCK.
If you make a screenshot in Dynasty Warriors 8 as example, you get a big copyright by koei namco watermark on them.
No screenshots? why? Its only a secondary option that doesnt detract from gameplay but still.. Thats a major PS4 selling point
