just picked up the Halo edition A50 and
its awesome and they look sexy as hell and sound amazing
really impressed this is also my first headset purchase.

I wouldn't consider them wireless after reading the article. They still connect to the controller with a wire. If that is what they consider wireless, then every headset on the market is wireless. Sucks, I wouldn't have a problem dropping $300 for a truly wireless headset.

I've been using A40s for about 8 years. I really don't recommend them. There are better options that cost less. You're paying a hefty "gamer tax" with Astro.
