The last couple of years has proven that the isometric RPG is not only far from a relic of the past, but alive and well. However, it usually shows up on PC, as Wasteland 2 originally did last year. Those who enjoy the genre should rejoice then, as Wasteland 2: Director's Cut faithfully brings the genre to consoles and does so in fantastic fashion.

i want either this or bloodbowl 2... i'm afraid of both of them being too complicated though :/

Bloodbowl 2 I've heard has a lot of technical issues, and frankly a title I see going very cheap on a flash sale or Black Friday digital sale. Wasteland 2 is revamped and although a bit rough to comprehend off the bat, really becomes easy to grasp once you read and take your time with tutorials.

I have played both, and frankly I like both, but I would agree with Intranquill that Bloodbowl 2 is more likely to wind up on sale sooner than Wasteland due to popularity/having released sooner, if sale prices are a potential factor. Admittedly both have something of a learning curve behind them, but neither one is terribly difficult to grasp. If you want to see our review of Bloodbowl 2 on the site, just do a quick search (not sure I am allowed to post links in the comments and see). If I was to recommend one over the other? I would go with Wasteland 2.
