Emeric Thoa writes "Hello fighting fans, the story of Furi starts ten years ago, on a plane, as I was headed to a game show. At the time I was a junior designer for a big videogame company. Indie development hadn’t really taken off yet, so the idea of making my own console game was nothing more than a pipe dream. But the person travelling with me asked me what I would do if I could make my dream game, and I told him about this game that would be one long boss fight. A boss fight against an opponent similar to you, not a gigantic creature or a demon. A boss fight that felt like a duel— a tense, exhausting, and utterly rewarding duel."
Out of hundreds of hype-inducing music, Furi absolutely destroys the competition with one of the best soundtracks in gaming.
I honestly love Doom's soundtrack as well, but Furi has a way of captivating me wayyyyy more with its music.
The boss fights, the art design and the soundtrack in Furi are amazing. It's one of my favourite games from last gen (has a PS5 version too). "Underrated" is thrown around a lot but this game is definitely underrated.
It’s the reason I bought the game. The game itself is good too. But the soundtrack is superb.
So is Hotline Miami’s.
Furi’s tale of The Stranger fighting his way out of a celestial prison is not simply one of escape, but one of an outsider with only the language of violence, learning humanity.
French Indie studio The Game Bakers launches the new Onnamusha DLC for Furi today. The intense boss rush game was downloaded by more than 3.5 million players since its launch.
After coming to and end with Returnal I'm looking to get back into this.
In Japan they want 100 Yen to upgrade (?) from PS4 to PS5 version. Has anyone here played the PS5 version?
Reminds me of El Shaddai. I'm intrigued.
Its a hack & slash not a beat'em up, had me super excited for a second there, still looks interesting tthough
i want it
Looks really cool. Also reminds me of El Shaddai. Title should also be changed to hack & slash not beat'm up, was expecting to see something else.
looks amazing
