Just bought the G29 myself. And now Driveclub feels like a brand new game again! It's a good wheel but it's also a darn shame that they decided to unbundle the shifter unlike the G27 that comes with it!
My other gripe being it's not natively supported in GT6 and Evnthough all the buttons work, the steering itself isn't! My car juat go in circles! WTF?
I just wished they had supported Logitech GT wheel for PS4. Such an awesome wheel for low price. I got Thrustmaster T80.. It's like shite. Should have read the comments.. What was i thinking? Oh wait.. I was thinking if T80 is more expensive then it must be better than Logitech GT.. But no sir. I wonder what wheel will come out with GT7.
Almost did the same mistake by buying the T80 but I am glad I hold off and after reading comments about it, am glad I didn't splash the cash for it.
The G29 is good but it doesn't feel as "premium" as the G27. You're right that it's a shame they don't support it for the PS4 because it's a damn fine wheel but I guess they want to sell those G29. I can tell you this, if the G27 is compatible with the PS4, there is no reason to upgrade! It's the better wheel than the G29 IMO!

Lol... America drives automatics, wish it weren't true though. The only new-ish car you'll with a clutch pedal are sport's cars & non domestics. Otherwise you'll have to look to older models. It's shame really.

I'd understand if you live in the city and sometimes the traffic jam is horrifying, but if its not, manual is the way to go.
Yeah... traffic jams can be handful. Clear highways are a blast, slamming through the 4-6 gears and back is a visceral thrill auto-stick simply just can't provide.
