Star Wars Battlefront is like an old-school shooter, and I love it [Lazygamer]

Star Wars Battlefront for me has always been about experiencing a franchise that thousands know and love first-hand. Part of what made the PS2-era shooters so engrossing was the fact that they got battles just right. Scores of rebels and stormtroopers all flocking into epic firefights, accompanied by hulking AT-ST Walkers and the occasional swing of a lightsaber. Battlefront created its own brand of multiplayer that was equal parts fun and competitive to play.

And it’s what EA and DICE have seemingly managed to emulate with their upcoming reboot.

Star Wars Battlefronts I and II had no expansions though, they were awesome without any extra costs.

Actually Battlefront 2 did have a DLC pack but it was pretty cool and added in a few extra levels and stuff. It wasn't ripped content from the main game.

Old school shooters didn't have to rely on DLC to make enough money for the game to be a profit, which modern games do.

Video games are extremely expensive to make, hence why almost every game has DLC, the fact that people don't realize this is just stupid.

The costs for games raised, that is true. However, the number of possible sales raised as well. Its a giant market and companies just try to make as much money as possible.

I found the game fun, I'm looking forward to seeing the full release. I won't be getting it though, unless it turns into a real force.....
