Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on PS4 is Pretty Much a Different Game

It definitely feels better than it did on PS3. I had a blast finishing it yesterday. Now on to Uncharted 2, haven't played that since I got the plat back in 2010.

The fact that Bluepoint was able to lock the game at 60fps and vsync it as amazing. Fixing that horrific screen tearing from Uncharted Drakes Fortune while upping the res and doubling the framerate must have been tough. Much respect to Bluepoint/ND, plus the PS4 is a beast that's capable of this kind of visual fidelity and technical prowess.

My thoughts exactly the screen tearing was jarring back in the day a number of the early PS3 games suffered from it. Bluepoint eliminating that upping res, along with the buttery frame rate and enhanced mech make this is a very special trip down memory lane. I'm having a blast! Only wish I had more time to play. The bundle just put my Dad over the edge, looks like he's finally upgrading his PS3, lol! Speaking of that bundle talk about a HUGE Holiday value! PS4 sales are already crazy if they can communicate that value proposition to the masses its gonna go off!

The supernatural stuff at the end of Uncharted and Tomb Raider games just annoy me. You spend all this time as a real person, fighting other real people, then theres some BS at the end. Just seems like a cop-out to me. Why not just have some grand final battle?

I never had a ps3, and after completing uc1 in 2 days, my hopes weren't high. However, the first few hours in uc2 are amongst the best in gaming. All the detail and action crammed into it is brilliant.

I think that the jetskis are one of the most underrated aspects of the Uncharted series. The control was perhaps too responsive but I look forward to a river ride in UC4 because concept art suggests that there will be a speedboat.

Surely there also has to be a Romancing the stone style mudslide?

In the middle of playing the game again and I don't remember the old controls. Think I read bluepoint made all 3 games the same controls right? Was there a crouch button cause if so I can't find it.

This annoys me too. Every 3rd person game with even a hint of stealth , or even without, should have a crouch button.

In fact after playing Metal Gear for a month solid I think UC4 should have a prone stance as well.

Playing through Drakes Fortune again was an absolute treat as is Among Thieves so far. Obviously once I've done the playthrpughs there's still much to be done , collecting all the Treasures (I mean what type of explorer would Drake be if you don't find all the treasures?) and doing the other tid bits to hopefully get the platinum., which I didn't do for the PS3 games.

A man got all 3 plats and is going for them again! Already beat 1 on crushing which is the hardest besides Lazaravich (god he's annoying on Crushing) so it should be smooth sailing. They did add some extra "finish x level in x amount of time" trophies but hopefully those are easy on explorer difficulty

The timer levels are a piece of cake - you do practise speed run on easy. I beat them all with at least a minute to spare.

A man's favorite feature of the new collection is purely trophy related. You can play crushing from the START! You don't have to unlock it by beating hard first! A man was so happy when he saw that! Sure Brutal still has that stupid unlock requirement where you have to beat crushing first but a man's not going to play that as it is not required for platinum. Not sure why any company has that stupid "play though the game on the second hardest difficulty to unlock the hardest then beat the hardest to win outright" rule. Just let a man get his challenging playthrough out of the way! Then a man can play on explorer in future playthroughs and just enjoy himself knowing he beat them at their best.

Interesting. I didnt really think of this as a system seller and thats what Xbox gamers have been telling me, but if you never played them before this is a fantastic purchase no gamer should really pass on.

Absolutely loving them. I'm almost through UC2 on Crushing and I have to say the game is stunning, especially in the ice and snow levels. Art direction is gorgeous and its aged very well.

This is my second Naughty Dog remake, first of course being The Last of Us: Remastered. I have to say I'm very impressed, just like I was with TLOU. It looks gorgeous. I gotta keep telling myself, "Your only on Drake's Fortune, just wait till you see Among Thieves and Drake's Deception.

This might sound dumb to most. But I'm just glad I didn't have a PS3 back then. This is my first time with this series, they popped my cherry the right way. It looks great on PS4.

I'm very curious to see what the final cities at the end of each game (Uncharted 2 & 3 at least) look like. The one with those stupid crossbow-armed monsters jumping around in 2 and the one with those djinn monsters in 3. They were truly stunningly beautiful on the PS3, I can't begin to imagine what they look like on the PS4 with a 1080p display!

I read the article and I'm happy with what he said. To be clear. There's no spoilers. They talk about mechanic improvements, mention graphic improvement and a quick mention about new trophies. No story related talk AT ALL! Read it without worries of spoilers. Not even the pictures spoil anything. Anyways, I'd like to go back and play them but without money or a job, I have to save every penny. I'm struggling to have enough for Fallout 4 AND Need for Speed. Those are my priorities. I played them all and got Platinum on the first 2 games. Never went back to 3. Time I guess. But I highly recommend the series!

Picked up the console bundle for the new hardware revision which by the way kicks ass. Dead silent and DOES NOT heat up like some have been saying, at least mine hasnt - a good revision if you ask me. Bluepoint did a fantastic job imo. The level of detail and how crisp everything looks is insane. All of those pre release videos and screenshots they compared to the PS3 version were bull. This remaster oozes quality and how polished the game looks and plays is proof. I am having an absolute blast enjoying Drakes Fortune right now. This is an amazing trilogy made even better now with its remastered look on the PS4.
