The Walking Dead over Silent Hill? Just NO!

Its a great game but Silent Hill is the better horror game and also has better atmosphere and soundtrack.

Also those who voted those games must have never player a Siren/Clocktower/Alone in the dark games or even Eternal Darkness Sanity Requiem.

Those games were so much better than what is listed here.

Ezz20133271d ago (Edited 3271d ago )

Can't agree with that at all too
In fact i have no idea what TWD is even doing here
It's not horror at all...atleast for me.

I think that title go to RE1 or Silent Hill 1 or Dino Crisis or Evil Dead Ps1 or P.T or Siren (That creepy SOB game almost give me a heart attack)

or a game no one seem to know about
Alone in the Dark (Ps1) like you said
That game was the most creepy and heart bounding game i played in Ps1 era

As much as TLOU is my favorite game of all time ..it's also not Horror game
so i don't know what it's doing on that list too
It's survival action stealth game with some horror elements.

DarkOcelet3271d ago

Exactly!

This list is just bonkers. Its most likely for people who played modern games from the PS3/X360 till now.

Also putting Fatal Frame so low on the list is a disgrace. That game at its time was the scariest horror game to ever come out.

Hold_It3270d ago (Edited 3270d ago )

@Ezz Agreed. TWD and TLOU aren't horror games, as TLOU is more action/thriller/drama than anything, and Clock Tower would be more qualified as a horror game than TWD. I also think Condemned Criminal Origins should be a lot higher on the list.

Missing Dino Crisis 1
Missing Alone In The Dark
Missing FEAR 1
Missing Clock Tower
Missing Penumbra: Black Plague
Missing System Shock 2
Missing Parasite Eve
Missing Call of Cthulhu : Dark Corners Of The Earth

The walking dead???!!!! a horror?? LOL!
Before dawn??!?!? Seriously??! Can't even get the name of the game right. this list is a total failure.

TomRL3271d ago

The first Silent Hill game seriously does not deserve to be that high. It arguably shouldn't be on the list. And Silent Hill 2 should be in the top five. The voters obviously didn't play the games.

jb2273270d ago

Totally agreed. TWD was a great game but I wouldn't really consider it horror. Honestly for my tastes I'd switch TWD & Dead Space...I actually enjoyed that series more than Silent Hill mainly because I've had more experience w/ it.

Wai- Walking Dead .. Horror game , of all time !?
This list doesn't make any sense to me :\

Donnywho3270d ago

Resident Evil Within was a solid horror entry. I hope more people give it a try.

Hold_It3270d ago

The Evil Within was good imo pretty much everything Resident Evil 4 should have been. That moment when Sebastian is like "What thaaa fuuuuuck", and he sounds confused, shocked, and accepting all at the same time.

JamesBroski3270d ago (Edited 3270d ago )

Yea, unlike The Walking Dead Island Riptide

Fantastic homage to a memorable part of the original. The authenticity to the source material is outstanding and blows away all of the pathetic Hollywood adaptations that we've had to endure as fans. The addition of Chris Redfield's original actor AND (separate) voice actor is fantastic! Heck, even the CGI was pretty good given the total budget of $55k to make this.

Yeah this seemed so much more like cannon to me. I’d watch more of it if / when it’s available.

I feel like they should have included the original games with the remakes they've been doing.
