Wow the graphics are really shaping up on this game. Wonder what engine they are using it does not look like any other game. It has a weird but cool cell shaded look but at the same time it looks 3d. First day purchase for me. :) hope its good like LO.

It looks really cool. Ithink they use ther own engine. White engine.
That engine is great with these kind of games. NOt UE3.

This is going to be such a terrific game. I'm a big fan of triAce; and have loved the JRPGs on the Xbox 360 thus far.

I'll be adding this to Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey, *another* JRPG for Xbox 360 owners -- yeah!

And, the graphics look just awesome. Great. Cant wait.

the GFX are pretty good

Edit: is it an action rpg or turn based traditional rpg ?

Honestly hoping it's turned based. I don't know if I really like the action RPG style.

Maybe it will grow on me.

I'm old-school so you know I love me some turn-based JRPG's.

The best JRPG's have been turn-based looking at history.

I just hate everyone dong their own thing all at once, it looks like a mess.

After playing Lost Odyssey, it really brought me back to the old-school, where you have to think and plan everyones move not just one guy while every attack, all at once. You do not get to see everyone perform individually.

Todays Action-basd JRPGs are turning into "Dynasty Warriors" type free for alls.

Nice pics..

Are Tri-Crescendo and Tri-Ace different companies?

It looks like action from some of the screen shots. I can see button presses mapping to different controller keys that do different things in the midst of battle. If it was turn based, would most likely be more menu driven.

Superfragilistic3728d ago

It's completely real time including the menus and inventory. No turn based gameplay at all. ;)
