“...abuse of in-game glitches has divided the gaming community between those who respect the skill and endurance of the runners, and those who think it’s just mindless cheating.”
If FromSoftware's Bloodborne ever gets a sequel—and that's a big if—it won't be able to simply pick up where its predecessor left off.
probably due to some.of the endings true.
but u can still continue it on and subsequently end it for good.
Half-Life 2 art director and Dishonored designer Viktor Antonov has died aged just 52.
One of my biggest art heroes. His work and vision were truly one of a kind, and he’s been a huge inspiration to my own work. Such a heartbreaking loss.
Remember seeing Dishonored for the first time when it released, fell in love with the art style straight away, so striking! And because of it, still holds up and will for years to come, RIP Viktor
So sad to hear this. I absolutely love the Dishonored series and love the world and art style. It looks great and unique. I'm still hoping for a Dishonored 3
The creator of the 60 fps patch for Bloodborne has been hit with a DMCA notice from publisher Sony after 3 years.
People will read this and assume "must be a bloodborne remake coming".
Unfortunately, more likely theyre just being d***s
Personally I don't really get speed running, but that's because I love to take my time playing games. I do agree that exploiting glitches doesn't seem in the spirit of it - as I understand it anyway - but then I imagine it's hard to demarcate between glitches and quirks in video games.
If all speed runners know about and execute the same glitches, I guess it's still a level playing field.
Not far enough! Never fails to impress me when someone slaps down From Software games like that.
I enjoy thinking that you could complete a really tricky game in a short time, like the Bloodborne example in this article, but I it isn't really something I understand as such. Each to their own I guess.
I actually really enjoy the different forms of Speedrunning. You have the glitchy runs, to see how people can break a game. There's Tool-Assisted Runs, to see how the "perfect run" can be done. And then there are still "pure" runs, no glitches, no add-ons, just great playing.
It hasnt gone far enough, this was a really basic game that did well because it was just damn good fun!
