PlayStation Now Gets Subscription Service With 7-Day Free Trial in UK

PlayStation Now subscriptions have been made available in the UK, quite some time after our North American cousins got them.

Ill give the free trail a go. Don't plan on subscribing after, but I'm interested to see how well the streaming works.

I live in Germany, but I'm a brit with a UK PSN account, so I shouldn't be able to use it (it's not in Germany yet, as far as I know) but I've just been on Crazy Taxi and it's flawless. Plus, £12.99 a month isn't bad at all, especially if they add more games to it. I've been waiting (impatiently) for the Assassin's Creed games to come to it.

Yeah, I agree it could be a bit cheaper and people would be more likely to warm to it for a lower price, but personally I'm pretty happy. I expected it to be like £19.99 a month, so closer to a tenner isn't bad, at least in my ever so humble opinion.

Hard decision now is: which subscriptions do I cancel to make room this one?

It's good to hear that it works well. & OMG Crazy Taxi. I forgot that this game released on PS3, I might have to give it a go on my free trial!

Also I guess £12.99 isn't a bad price per month. How many games do you get to rent at a time? It could potentially work out cheaper to rent some games rather than buying them. I mean, you don't have to keep paying £12.99 EVERY month. Just sub every once in a while.

Also in regards to price, PS+ members should get a discount on subscription.

It's 100 games, give or take. That's why it's not such a bad price. For that I can try any game I want, even games I'd usually not twice at, whereas before it was a 2.99 or 4.99 gamble. I know people will still complain, but for what it is I'm happy. Plus, the PSTV I'll get the niece and nephews this christmas will be much more appreciated

£13 a month they can shove it,can get a ps3 round my area with 10 games for £50.
With the BC from MS this is just an insult by sony imo.

This is exactly what I was hoping for, I've always been curious about how it works but I didn't want to pay. After 30 minutes of playing The Walking Dead, it feels amazing. I keep forgetting I'm streaming a game at all.

If you want the free trial, just make sure you guys cancel your card and auto-renew and you'll be good to go.

I'd rather play my already bought games on my fully backwards compatable launch day ps3 thanks then pay £13 a month for games that compressed and laggy (and they will be over the net compaired to actual hardway).

Nah mate, not a moden gamer far from it been gaming since the 80s. and the fact is I have all the ps3.2.1. xbox 1 and 360 games I want to play and the hardware to do so, why do I want a lower quality experance and to pay for it.

Why are people always assuming it's games you have already played on their PS3. There are plenty of games on there I never played on my PS3 and still couldn't as I don't, or have never owned them.

Also, I think many people will be overly surprised how well it actually works and how good the picture is.

I have no interest on playing old PS3 games I already own at home. But here is why I love Now. I can stream games to my ofc through my Vita and my son can play a collection of Ps3 games in any room he takes the PSTV.

Yeah, the trial gives you access to a bunch of full games including trophies to earn and I've been playing on the Killzone 3 multiplayer without any problems.

This is built into Sony TV, sync up your ds3 and away you go. Not bad for £12.99 considering you don't need a console
