Sweet I cant wait any longer

Bleucrunch2671d ago

For me they have a lot of work to do as I couldn't get pass the first hour of that horrible RE6 game. I was so thoroughly dissapointed in that game....We will see what the next one looks like but I will rent this...I'd rather not purchase another title from them until I see they have actually taken game development really seriously.

Resident Evil 6 actually made RE 5 good.

pompombrum2671d ago

I can wait a long long time for RE7 tbh. Resident Evil doesn't need another sequel (outside of Mercs/Remakes) it needs a complete reboot.

Man. Can we get a new Onimusha!?

-Foxtrot2671d ago mind is split

On one hand it's like "Cool a new Resident Evil"

On the other it's "But it's Capcom, they've ruined the story and characters in the last game and they still won't go the horror route"

I'm more worried they are going to do what they did with RE6 and try to fool us that it's going to be horror based. Hope they learn you can't please all audiences in one game, it's one or the other.

Really good comment foxy boy but... There is a way to please both and that very healthy balance had been executed in resident evil 4. They had gunplay and tight resources they had awesome set pieces and terrifying bosses. But most importantly they had that goddamn fish on the lake that gave me nightmares for years. And the krauser knifefight. It's no secret resi 4 drove in the is new action era. But like you said maybe it's best they focus that action into something like mercenaries and raid mode.

DarkOcelet2671d ago

Here is what i wish they would do.

They wanna go action mode, then include those in Mercenaries and add Raid Mode.

But the campaign, we want to feel alone, isolated from the outer world. Whether its a mansion or a train. The feeling of loneliness and despair should be there.

And dont make the Single player co op unless we are playing two players. I dont like being accompanied with someone. Its takes away from the horror element.

If all that didnt happen in RE7 then Oh well we still got Resident Evil 2 Remake.

"Q: They say that the Resident Evil series is losing its horror touch. What are your thoughts on this?

A: Since there’s been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way. And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I’m thinking about it and also preparing for it."

that mean you can see Horror RE on Spin Off or Classic Remake/Remaster not new main installment.

_-EDMIX-_2671d ago

? No...that is not what they mean, they have several teams making RE games currently, they will have the spin offs, remake of RE2, other remasters and clearly a main RE.

Non of those titles are made by the same teams...

Make it good Capcom (more classic less COD).

FoxyGotGame2671d ago

Resident Evil 7 must return to its roots. If Capcom are smart they'll see the demand for the remakes have been strong, so Resi7 should incorparate the Survival Horror of Resi 1&2, the panic of 3, and the mystery of Resi 4 & Code Veronica. Resi7 does not need obstructive AI COOP

...just no 'Hollywood' gameplay like Resi 6. That didn't feel like Resi IMO /

NovusTerminus2671d ago

Completely agree, but I would like for them to evolve RE6 game play as a new I.P
