Jason Clement of G4@Syfygames discusses whether it makes sense for video game series to 'go out on top' by ending at their best.
"Atomfall Wicked Isle is more of the core game set on the mysterious Midsummer Isle, but often feels like a Wicker Man-themed fetch quest."

Madame Cyclone's new game teaches us that challenge can come from within, not just from the bosses we face
Wrap House Simulator is the latest in the long line of simulator job games, with little to make it stand out besides the food you cook, which is very tasty
If the developers feel that they can't do anymore within the story elements or what is reasonably possible with the game play mechanics of the series, then definitely let it go out on top! Sega should have done this along time ago with the Sonic action games. Sonic's game style worked so well on the 2d plane and in some cases in 3d games. But the overall experience is hard to recapture the same way once again...
Not if you want to milk it to death. I like the fact that they actually want to end it and move on.
Yes, because when/if you decide to revive them...no sour tastes are left in Gamer's mouths /
No. It's a bussiness. Make them until there's no demand.
Yeah it makes sense. A lot of developers out there do make games and end them eventually. But of course, there are people who want to milk it and push it to the limit as much as they can. Part of me thinks that's how Assassin's Creed should have went, but when it's selling so well yet, they're going to continue with it. But I personally don't mind it as long as I'm having fun.
