The over the top destruction turns me off just as I thought it would. I just did a terrorist hunt when suddenly like 1/3 of the top floor I was on suddenly blew up... totally un-Rainbow 6ish. Should have stuck with Patriots...

I mean Rainbow is supposed to be made up of the most elite military soldiers ever, across many countries, assembled as one team, instead we have an FBI SWAT team representing USA? wtf? It's just kind of whack. The game actually is a little better than I expected but it is still quite a let down overall. Blood effects at least in this version are horrid, big puffs of red smoke, ugh...

Really? I always used to get nailed by random spawning enemies in Vegas 2, was that rainbowish? There was four of us last night and it took good team work to beat one of the hunts on hard.

some of the replies here have me concerned and i've witnessed it all before and you see it more on the consoles than you do on the pc. that is how so many can't seem to sit idle for more than 5 seconds if they die. it's also the cause of so many quitting matches. they also need to build an option so your own team mates don't get damage because of the idiots out there who like to shoot their own teammates for fun.

If you die playing that search and destroy game type its painfully boring.
I think the game speed is a little slow, but nothing wrong with that.

And the corner camping gets annoying..
But oh wells, ill enjoy the beta but probably not buy the game.

It's classic mode, I imagine there will be options with easier settings in the final build, not sure why though, it's supposed to be tactical but it looks like many just want to go guns blazing.

I have both, the PS4 and the PC beta, and have only gotten to play 1 match! There is NO ONE playing in the mid-west, or this game is not attracting players. I have a 60M connection BTW. I won't be buying.

A lot of people say that but have only played the beta, not the final release.
Value is all about perception, if I enjoy a game and I will get a lot of play time out of it then it's good value.

It's a tricky one, if Rainbow 6 had just a 12 hour single player with no multiplayer would people buy it? even though the overall play time you would get out of it would be less than you probably would being multiplayer only.

Value is all about perception, I am enjoying the beta so no doubt would get my moneys worth from the game.

The game is fun, but has a ton of problems, and some of them simply aren't going to be changed. Because of this, the game is likely to be massively underwhelming instead of absolutely amazing. Their idiotic design decisions did this, and it's sad. :(

The removal of the cover and shoot system they had from Vegas and Vegas 2 is utterly dumb. This game would be so much better if you could line up next to a door or wall and pop out and shoot people. Sadly I don't see this changing and this brings the game down. Brings it down hard.

1 death matches/rounds ONLY. Seriously? Just about EVERY FPS/TPS allows you to choose which kind you want. Sometimes you want 1 death matches, other times you want to be able to respawn. With 1 death matches you sit around waiting and waiting. I want a mode with unlimited respawns. There simply is NO REASON to ONLY have 1 death modes. It's stupid as all hell. But for RB6:Siege it complicates a major problem with the game....

The waiting. OMFG the waiting in this game is unreal. Oh I'm not just saying when you die. They are having some horrible matchmaking issues that I didn't see in the PC Alpha. The PS4 beta will leave things stuck for awhile and you need to back out and restart the search for matches.

Then because of the waiting you got people leaving. Then on top of this, it takes forever between the 'rounds'. So overall after waiting 5 minutes and searching multiple times for games you get killed quickly, and have to wait another couple minutes, only to get at the in-between round couple minutes of waiting, and you are just non-stop waiting.

I've played many games where it's 4 on 2, 5 on 3, 4 on 1, etc. It's dumb. Fix it.

Literally if you play RB6:Siege for 5-6 hours you get about the same amount of game time playing and shooting, killing and dying as in... about a single match of Battlefield 4. That's a massive problem. You are waiting so much in this game it sucks the life out of your will to continue. I simply don't want to wait 5-10 minutes to get into a game, only to play for 30 seconds in order to wait 5-10 minutes a game and constantly seeing if the game search his hanging. God this sucks.

Another problem is the gunplay. It sucks. Their game design decisions screwed up the gunplay. You see, with 1 death rounds, they had to nerf some stuff(because it's all one death with close quarters gunplay), so you can be firing at a guy point blank, even waiting a tenth or so to reduce your recoil, and the handguns still can miss almost a whole clip.

The hitboxes are crap. So many times I should've killed some guy and he isn't touched, and other times I shoot and no way should of hit anything, and I kill the guy. It's screwed. I've seen it where a guy killed me by showing he shot at each corner around me, but never actually landing anything on me. WTF?

You see the design decision to not have respawning has made this game so much worse. They wanted to have one death matches, but those are so quick they decide to make it best of 5 rounds. You don't need 4 or 5 rounds with the massive waiting... if you allow respawns!

Then they have to nerf guns and dial up the recoil to insane levels so your handgun can't hit a guy five feet away from you. It's stupid.

Another issue is the idiocy of only allowing one type of person per team. You see there are different load outs, and only one person can be on it per team. So if you want to be a FUZE or THERMITE guy and someone else selects him... well tough.

This is screwed up, especially since you have to purchase with in game XP each loadout. So especially in the beginning you'll have a lot of default 'recruits' because they will only have 0-1-2 different loadouts, and those are likely to be selected by someone. Their cost escalates as well...the first one in the series (like FBI or GIGN or whatever) cost 500, then 1000, then 2000.

So you finally unlock that new loadout class, and wham someone else selects it! Doh!

But there are two other aspects that make this crappy. One is you'll have fighting among your teammates over which one gets a particular class. That's stupid, but that's what you get with how they set this up.

The other issue is... people quit. If they can't be what they want, they'll quit. Once again that's how Ubisoft has decided to set this game up. (oh and if you can't use the class you are best with, it can destroy your chances at winning...at all this needs to occur is say in a crucial round 4 or 5).

...and remember how long you waited only to have a guy quit right before round 3, 4, or 5 started. Ugh. Thanks Ubisoft! But they set the system up to have these vulnerabilities.

This game would be so much better if they just did the following...
-Respawns
-No 5 round bs
-No insane recoil
-Bring back the cover and shoot system that served Vegas and Vegas 2 so well
-Fix the matchmaking
-Allow for multiple people to play the same class.

It's like each dumb design decision, created a problem, which then needed another dumb design decision to try to mitigate the problems from the first, but that too has unintended consequences. In the end instead of a amazing game, you get a bunch of meh that you stick around for, only because there really isn't much in terms of competitors for this style of play.

Is the game fun? Yeah. But there are massive problems. Only because there isn't much competition in this area of FPS/TPS multiplayer games will I buy it, but if they made some sane decisions it could easily be a game that I could love. But they decided to go the idiotic rout, and because of that, this game will suffer for it.

Lots of people want to respawn, and lots of people will not buy this game because you can't. Doh!

People don't want to be waiting 75 percent of the time or more they are 'playing'. Doh!

People don't want unreal recoil and shoddy hitboxes. Doh!

People will be wondering what the hell happened to the cover and shoot system, and why what they have now... nothing is such a step back. Doh!

...and where is a remastered Calypso Casino? Seriously.
