It's somewhat ironic that it took an indie developer, namely the Finnish studio Colossal Order, to show Maxis and Electronic Arts how city simulations are supposed to be done. The modding community continues to shine alongside the game, and indeed some of the most popular mods introduces a day/night cycle. It's a point that Colossal Order has since taken with its first expansion, aptly named After Dark.

It's been almost a year since the release of Cities: Skylines, and the game is seeing its second official expansion – Snowfall. Let's see if the addition of snow is as fun as it sounds, and how the game has changed since the release of After Dark.
Matt from PC Gaming Enthusiast reviews this DLC pack for Cities: Skylines.
He writes:
"The visuals here are a real treat, with snow gently flowing down onto a white landscape, while the Northern Lights ripple above the horizon."
Bought the dlc yesterday and its ok. Only real challenge is saving up money to upgrading heating pipes, building heating systems and the never ending battle of controlling traffic. They should have included some weather disasters like ice storms, blizzards and floods.
