I've played a lot of Destiny when it first launched, but it's not even close to how much of played it since last week. I can't think of one thing I dislike about the The Taken King or update 2.0 now that they exist in harmony. The story of TTK was fantastic; I love the new infusing process for weapons, and I'm completely overwhelmed (in a good way ) with all the quests I have lined up to do. I haven't even tried the King's Fall raid, but I've heard its epic. Destiny will be relevant once again for months going forward. I know this game has it's fair share of haters, but hopefully some of them give it a look again.

Other than Xenoblades, is there any real reason to purchase a Wii U going forward? Wouldn't it be best to just save your money for the NX? Don't get me wrong, Super Mario Maker sounds great, but it also sounds like it's the swan song title for the Wii U.

Pretty much how I feel at this point. Fatal Frame is the last one I have a passing interest in myself.

While it does look like Wii U's likely going to have software droughts next year, there's still a couple of confirmed game releases such as Star Fox: Zero, Pokken Tournament and Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei. In addition, there is of course, Legend of Zelda (which will probably be a holiday 2016 title, but we'll find out likely by next E3). Also, Miyamoto recently confirmed Pikmin 4's development nearly being finished, and based on what he said last year about the future of the Pikmin franchise, he mentioned it being on Wii U. In any case, it's likely a 2016 title. Lastly, Retro Studios has been working on a new Wii U title since 2013 according to Nintendo producer, Kensuke Tanabe. For all we know, it could be a 2016 title, but even if it is not, we may at least see it by next E3. Beyond this, it's anyone's guess if Nintendo has any other future software planned for Wii U as E3 2015 was only focused on games coming out between the end of 2015 - early 2016.

Here's Miyamoto's quote about Pikmin franchise's future from November 2014:

"Continually launching campaigns after the release of software will lay the groundwork for the next iteration of “Pikmin” in the future. And needless to say, we want it to be one of the motivations for potential consumers to purchase Wii U. We are making a variety of different efforts."

For the record, Miyamoto had said on an earlier occasion that the DS and 3DS were basically not ideal platforms for Pikmin 3 due to the nature of the game and the handhelds having control issues during prototype development, so Pikmin 4 is probably not coming out for 3DS or new 3DS for that matter.

I'm loving The Taken King so far, and more specifically the 2.0 update. It fundamentally changed the game. The quest system and UI are nicely polished, and I love all the new loot to chase after now. The Telesto fusion rifle is awesome!
