Heading into E3 2015, may people were predicting announcements and news that would be uncovered, and while some of the theories came true, others didn't. One of the latter was that Bethesda Softworks would announce a Fallout Collection for the PS4 and Xbox One, but as we all know that didn't happen. A collection was eventually announced, but it was for the platform many weren't expecting.
The Fallout Anthology Edition is coming to PC very soon, and is packaged with some very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bonuses.
It’s an awful downgrade to the last one they did
They included physical disc back then
I would love the classic fallout games on console. Closest I could find was atom rpg, I liked that one a lot
Pete Hines is retiring from Bethesda Softworks after 24 years.
Im glad he leaving. Bethesda has been terrible under his leadership. Redfall, Starfield, Fallout76 and the list goes on an on. His leadership style is outdated. Hopefully, MS bring someone in that knows what they are doing.
I interviewed at Bethesda once, and while there were some very smart mid level team members, the upper ranks (EP/VP/Studio Head) were a total boys' club. The Madmen series ego in that lunch was stiffling.

Pete Hines was against locking out the majority of their console playerbase (ps gamers). Probably disgusted at the hypocrisy of white knight Phil assuring PS gamers that they can still play COD. Acquisition goes through, Hines goes out.
Goodbye Pete.
i wonder if he was asked to leave.
im pretty sure not everyone was on board with the acquisition.
The number one game development doctrine: It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
What risks were taken? Space travel? Entire planets ? Vehicles for planets? Smart AI? Don’t see any risks taken
The only risks taken were in the exploration lies told when advertising. This is basically Bethesda’s take on Mass Effect 1.
It'd be great and all, just glad all their attention is focused on 4. I'd love a mini-bundle of new vegas and 3 together with all DLCs remastered 1080/30 for say $30-40 for next gen , but as I said, glad they're fully committed to just making this game
I want them focused on Fallout 4 primarily for the next six months at least to cover launch and post-launch fixes effectively. Anything else Fallout related from older games can wait until Bethesda is experiencing a slight lull in content due to new things just being a bit too far away. I don't want them focused on porting and optimizing old PC games for modern home console hardware if resources are better spent elsewhere.
That said, if you haven't played Fallout 2, get it on PC. Now. Just do it. The game is old enough that a potato these days could run it, but it holds up well.
Xbox One Owners getting Fallout 3 for Back Compatible is a pretty good substitute/combination for what looks looks to be an incredible Fallout 4.
XBOX can do them via Backwards Compatibility at least
