I like the effort Microsoft is doing but there's more western than Japanese games so I think Microsoft should put more Japanese games in there.

Western games don't really affect the audience in Japan, The Japanese want there types of game like JRPGs, etc...

jon_snow1755d ago

Completely Agree. Japanese want Jap styled game and not the type of games(shooter and racer) which can be enjoyed in PS4 anyway. Learn Diversity like Sony or you will always lag behind every gen.

Thank you for being rational and stating my response to an easier level.

dcbronco1755d ago

Funny you say that when Japanese developers actually say Japanese games are becoming more westernized. Hmmmm.

AizenSosuke1755d ago

You say that but only certain Japanese developers not all though every other Japanese developers are still Japanese my friend and that's funny.

freshslicepizza1754d ago

why would a game like forza not appeal to them?

pinkcrocodile751754d ago

The Japanese should not be afforded such consideration.

I'm still surprised that Japan is still be fawned over by Microsft. It's time MS put a boot into the crotch of the Japanese gaming industry and severed all ties.

When you consider that the United Kingdom is a bigger market than Japan, it says a lot.

Sales don't lie and it's clear that mobile gaming in the nippon states is on the rise.

I think that Japanese developers support Sony's eco system a lot more due to their loyalty to a Japanese products. Overall, I am surprised that MS has not decided to unleash Recore to the Japanese audience and begin to build momentum for what could be a game that all audiences can relate too. I am still glad MS is trying in Japan.

Yo, McDonald's and various other American fast food restaurants are fairly popular in Japan. Disney films and Apple products even moreso. Japan has their own Disneyland for crying out loud!

This is the reason that they didn't attend the TGS conference

DanielGearSolid1755d ago (Edited 1755d ago )

Just save the money MS

Do a small Nintendo Treehouse type of thing

Leaguer1755d ago

nah...let them continue doing that...even just for the lulz

tinynuggins1754d ago

So you're saying Microsoft shouldn't care about Japanese gamers? They aren't worth their time or money? Kind of a crappy and offensive stance to take.

DanielGearSolid1754d ago

So you're saying Nintendo doesn't care about Japanese gamers when they do treehouse streams?

kotaku771755d ago (Edited 1755d ago )

Probably with this Xbox ones gonna sell like hotcakes

LostDjinn1755d ago

This is just stuff from other (western) shows with two Japanese indi games thrown in. This is to make up for missing TGS?

Talk about a half-assed PR exercise.

DragonDDark1754d ago

lol yeah.. sounds lazy if you ask me.

Eonjay1755d ago

Kinda just feels like for show. I am not convinced that they really want to make an attempt to obtain a higher marketshare there.

gamer11381755d ago

Thing is, would the Japanese ever buy xbox in droves? What would xbox have to do to usurp the local favourite in playstation? We're talking about a market where Nintendo and Sony have dominated for decades and the idea of having an xbox, no matter how good it could be, would seem alien to Japanese gamers.
