Dealspwn: As a new Xbox One owner, I'd forgotten that the Microsoft controller was still rocking archaic batteries. Isn't it time they at least included a rechargeable pack in the box nowadays? I've no idea how they got away with charging over £400 at launch. Official play and charge kits are a hilarious £17.99, but go third-party and you can get one for £3.49.
I picked up one of these myself and am very pleased with the massive saving over the official model. The rechargeable block comes with a short micro-USB cable and can be charged through your console, or via the mains if you plug it into a mobile phone cable adapter plug. An LED indicator tells you when it's fully charged. The pack itself is a snug fit into the controller, but it's not likely I'll be taking it out anytime soon.
