The Idolmaster: Must Songs Red Board and Blue Board will launch for PS Vita in Japan on December 10 for 5,700 yen via retail or download, Bandai Namco announced during its Idolmaster Tokyo Game Show stage event.
First-print copies of the game will come with a different PS Vita downloadable theme, depending on which version you pick up.
Michibiku's Jenni Lada writes, "Before deciding on a The Idolmaster game, we have to take a look at who you are and what you know. These are text heavy titles. How much Japanese do you know? There are entries that apply to people of all skill levels, so I’m sorting them by how much you do or don’t need to know."
Michibiku's Jenni Lada writes, "The Idolmaster Must Songs is both an Idolmaster and Taiko Drum Master game, which means one thing – costumes. There are so many costumes in this game, guys. You earn them by playing and performing well. You buy them from Kotoko, after unlocking them through the Live shows. There are so many designs available. Naturally, they’re not created equal."
Michibiku's Jenni Lada writes, "The Idolmaster Must Songs finds itself in a tricky position. As a mash-up of Bandai Namco’s The Idolmaster and Taiko no Tatsujin series, it’s faced with the unenviable task of offering equal parts of both experiences. This gets a bit tricky, as gameplay often outweighs superficial elements like tracklists and character designs. While it looks and sounds like a The Idolmaster title, someone is clearly playing Taiko no Tatsujin. Naturally, there’s a solution already implemented into the game in the form of the live festival mode."
