The series has always been about bombastic plots and super-refined gameplay, so the sting here is that Kojima’s swan song had to be compromised for the worse. Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
