GA:
I really, REALLY wanted to like Giana Sisters Dream Runners for a few reasons. The biggest one being that it is another revival of a classic franchise that I actually enjoy playing. The first revival, “Twisted Dreams”, was a welcome remake of the original classic and with this new entry, I really had high hopes that the series was going to evolve beyond a basic platformer. Sadly, what we got was a concept that doesn’t really work any way you look at it.
The premise behind Giana Sisters: Dream Runners is simple; get far enough head of your opponents to push them off the screen. With up to four players (or AI opponents), you will run, dash, jump, collect power ups, and smash your way across nine levels of pure multi-player mayhem.
Does Giana Sisters: Dream Runners offer the same challenging and fast-paced action that made Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams so fun?
Giana Sisters: Dream Runners is a fast-paced, head-to-head platformer for up to four players developed by Black Forest Games. The game pits up to four players (or AI opponents) against each other in a looping stage, in local and online competition, speed-running for the finish in an effort to push each other off the screen with the help of boosters and power-ups.
Welcome back to our monthly installment where we give you the three best and three worst games of the previous month. If you’re curious what to pick up and what to avoid then look no further.
I can't believe you could narrow it down to just 3 good games, and it was only september. October and November are gonna be NUTS.
