The man seems to be perfectly capable of following Iwata's vision and goals. He has worked with the company for a long time. Much luck to Nintendo and congrats on the new president!

Why are you getting dislikes? This site is embarrassing.

OT: I wish him the best of luck running Nintendo, I'm sure he will do a great job having previously ran the Pokemon Company.

The mainstream N4G fanboys believe that if one specific console and company isn't dominating the entire market, then something is wrong with the world...

he seems like the obvious choice and the right one

Follow Iwata's goals? You make it seem like Iwata was the founder of the company. Iwata's ways were absolutely different from the man who pteceded him. And I hope the next guy is more like that other man than Iwata. I don't want to see an Iwata part 2. Hell nooooooo!

I also wish him the best of luck. Hopefully he can steer Nintendo in a direction where they listen to their fans while they still have some.

Good luck to him and congratulations.

Very exciting, hope he lives up to his predecessor. Wondering how different Nintendo will become. Only concerning thing for me is that he's very old already, at 65 that's pretty much the age people retire.

Concertoine1131d ago

I would not want to take on this kind of role at that age. Hopefully he can find a better way to incorporate Nintendo into the modern market.

Nice to know that Nintendo has finally settled that out. Here's hoping he leads the company into a positive different future
