Like a lot of fancy military tech in Metal Gear games, there’s truth behind Kojima’s wackiness.
"Fulton first used instrumented dummies as he prepared for a live pickup. He next used a pig, as pigs have nervous systems close to humans. Lifted off the ground, the pig began to spin as it flew through the air at 125 mph. It arrived on board undamaged but in a disoriented state. Once it recovered, it attacked the crew." That would have been hilarious to see. Everyone cheering that it worked, followed by the screams as a large pig proceeded to attack them.
Agreed, where is the vid please? :D
According to the CIA link, it looks like that test took place around '58. Not sure they were really planning on video taping it back then, let alone with all the agencies involved and a p!ssed off pig running loose.
Wait the military has wormholes then :O
