The Pokemon Company has announced Pokemon Go, a new game for iOS and Android smartphones slated for release in 2016, designed to bring the world of Pokemon to the real world.
It's going to be a huge hit in Japan for sure.
Well,Japan love Pokemon and Mobile.
Yeah, like a really, really, really, big hit; out of proportions if anything.
That looks epic! Can't wait! :D
Happy for the casuals, but I think I'll stick to the fully fleshed out hand-held versions, and save my phone battery for actual phone calls.XD It's not VR Pokemon catching, but it's getting closer to that. Won't be long. Within the next decade or two, certainly.
Imagine this with HoloLens.
Google Glass might work.
We will be old men by the time VR comes out and actually does justice by my standards.
So? Become a gaming grandpa. No shame in that.XD
I'd rather shake my cane and talk about how the old gaming days were better.
if its not the expected Pokemon game then I dont want it
PEDA's going to love this one. lol
isn't it PETA
Ah, sorry about that. Thank you for correcting me.
Only Gen 1 Pokemon featured, but they were the best anyways so no big.
Yeah, now I feel like I'll find a chair pokémon if I did research on the new ones. Gave up on the games long ago. I love it up to Ruby/Saphire. But always hated how they had a bazillion different berries and balls. Fuck that, Master Ball forever!
1-151 is King.
The video is nice and all....but none of that was gameplay...and why is everyone happy that Mewtwo was caught? Wouldn't only one person catch him and only one person be happy?
Unless it's an Event type thing. And because all those that participate helped defeat it, all get it as a reward. Looking at the video, beating Mewtwo would be no small feat and unlikely to be able to do on your own.
These people need to train up.. I remember my blastoise from blue KO'd mewtwo in one hyrdoblast.. Had to reload my save to try to keep him conscious enough to catch. BTW why can't you catch a KO'd pokemon? Seems like it'd be easier; no need for great/master/ultra balls.
I can't help it. This makes my inner child so excited.
Lol that was the most over exaggerated trailer ever. They've been making games like this for quite a while, and they aren't very good.
Yup a niche genre for sure. so it willbe interesting to see if Ninty and Pokemon Company can learn from Ninactis and bring some quality to the genre.
Isn't it essentially going to be Ingress but with Pokemon?
OK let's see: - No Windows Phone (Hahahaha) - They used 'shrooms to see Pokémon without VR/HoloLens. - They caught Charizard with a Poké Ball and without doing any damage to it. - I feel the app will lead me to an alleyway where I'll get raped, robbed and jumped all for Rattata or a Grimmer. - Mewtwo always felt to me like the ultimate Pokémon that was unbeatable (aside from New) yet my level 85 Pikachu did the job in Pokémon Yellow. - 1 Master Ball would have caught the Mewtwo and you could have kept it for yourself only and fucked over those hundreds of fans in the street. How do you get a Master Ball? Gameshark! DUH! - Fix phone batteries first then we'll think about spending hours outside with a phone on and full brigtness.
My iphone 6 battery is amazing lol
I can see it now. Children wandering into ghettos and construction sites/traffic to catch Pokémon lol. All little Jimmy wanted was a Pikachu. Instead, he got stabbed by a hobo. Pokemon, not even once.
Man this commercial is super misleading! HA!
Imagine finding a pokemon between ladies legs, oh snap its squirtel..
