"With games like Danganronpa and Steins; Gate gaining popularity, visual novels and dating sims are finally receiving their deserved attention on handhelds and smart devices. Amnesia: Memories kicks things off as being the first major otome (“girl game”) title to release on both PS Vita and soon to iOS and Android devices. The Amnesia series started on PSP in Japan, and has grown to be a popular name for fans. Amnesia: Memories is not the greatest of otome games available but it deserves credit for being an interesting and entertaining foray into the visual novel space." -- Playstation Enthusiast
Daily Video Game writes: "Amazon is running a new game sale that adds several new AAA and recently released games across multiple gaming platforms right now, featuring a variety of games, including action-adventure, RPG, simulation, and more, for a limited time!
New releases of Amnesia: Memories and the spin-off collection Later X Crowd are now on Switch. Is it worth picking up these two otome games?
WTMG's Leo Faria: "There are great otome titles out there where you’re treated like a princess from start to finish. Birushana may have been a bit hardcore at times (with some violent roots of their own), but the heroine stood on her own two feet and had so much more to her than just a Mary Sue with celestial leanings. Cupid Parasite had so much heart and humor I could forgive the way a goddess was occasionally mistreated by her bevy of boys. I think Amnesia: Memories is just a tad cold, a bit too mean, and left me feeling restless and unresolved. It hits the notes, but it hits them in the wrong key. A classic, certainly, and I’m glad Switch owners have the option to play it. I just don’t know if it’s one I’d pick up if given the choice."
