Quest of Dungeons creator David Amador is nearly a one man show. In this interview with Xbox Enthusiast, Amador discusses the difficulties of bringing a game to Xbox One and what it's like to work with the ID@Xbox program.
Xbox has received immense backlash from fans after its ID@Xbox program used an AI-generated image in a new post on X.
Meh. AI is going to substitute a lot of things in the future, just as mechanical automation did in the past and continues to do in the present. Also:
"My favorite indie game was paying actual artists instead of pushing horrific AI slop you fucking leeches".
This is such a bad take. The person who created the art was definitely a designer of some kind, likely working on a contract basis for an agency that was itself hired by Microsoft. So unless designers aren't artists now - which itself is a old "discussion" - then it was made by a artist that got payed.
All I know is that like 99 percent of indies I play are from game pass. I’m sure the devs are glad the games are being played more
Then being upset at using an ai graphic
The Game Developers Conference is here again and I’m hecka stoked to join the ID@Xbox team in our annual trip to the San Francisco Bay Area. GDC is an amazing time to highlight new games, catch-up with other developers and friends in the industry and listen to their feedback to continue driving innovation forward for Xbox. 2018 was a fantastic year for developers in the ID@Xbox program and we can’t be more excited to share what we have planned for 2019 with our fans in the coming days and months.
"Growing out of these recent discussions, we are partnering with StudioMDHR to investigate bringing Xbox Live features beyond Xbox and PC to Nintendo Switch. Yes, this means that fans will now have the opportunity to experience StudioMDHR’s award-winning debut game on Nintendo Switch with Xbox Live!"
Very nice. Loving it. You're on track to do some special things...keep it up.
Cool, now put Banjo and Kazooie where they belong. I'm the Switch and in Smash brothers .
The HD versions of the Banjo games would be a great start.
From XboxWire: "It’s that time of year again where talented game developers from around the world come together for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, and the ID@Xbox team is ready to kick off another showcase of amazing titles from independent developers in the ID@Xbox program."
Great news! I've been enjoying a ton of Indie and ID@Xbox games on my X and Surface Go recently. Play Anywhere is something really special and I hope many of these games have support for them. Wargroove, Guacamelee 2, X-Morph: Defense, Moonlighter...great games to play on the go.
Glad to see Lonely Mountains here-

I backed this game on Kickstarter at a First Rider level and it has been a great experience so far. Looking forward to the full game when it is released and glad to see it coming on PC as well.
It's nice to see some of these titles going to Gamepass.
I think that it would be nice if all games develop via the ID@Xbox program got a day 1 release on Gamepass.
It would help get these games some exposure (something that they often lack) make them more accessible to the general public.
Looks like an old PS1 game. Never heard of it before.
