Nintendo really needs to just build an Ethernet port into their consoles. Selling Ethernet adaptors at this point is ridiculous

Absolutely. It's bad enough that they left the ethernet port out of the Wii, since the online capabilities of that console were minimal at best; but leaving it out of the Wii U was really a poor decision. How much would it have cost them to include one? Probably less than $5? Pretty sad stuff.

Agreed. I don't use them personally so it's never affected me, but I know a lot of people would use it. Hopefully NX will add some of these smaller features.

Heck, I just used the adapter I bought for the Wii in 2007, works flawlessly with the Wii U. But true, a console without this built in is a bit meh.Its 2015.

Honestly you shouldn't need an ethernet adaptor for Mario Maker, I've heard the downloads are instant whether you're on wifi or ethernet, and there's no online play so ping shouldn't be an issue.
