The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is the new mobile RPG based on the comic book and TV shows that has taken the mobile world by storm. Your goal is to build Woodbury into your own productive and fortified home base, join factions, explore the story and take on rival players. Gold coins are the premium currency of the game, mainly used to get rare, ultra rare and elite survivors into your party.
Looks like more great Walking Dead stuff ahead as the Road to Survival will take a story arch from the Telltale series.
While I am a fan of the whole “zombie survival” subgenre of post-apocalyptic fiction, and a casual admirer of The Walking Dead in particular, I am hopelessly behind on the show. Being so far behind, I had hoped that Road to Survival, the latest addition to the Walking Dead canon, would stand on its own rather than a piece of show-specific merchandise. Sadly, anyone but diehard fans of TWD will be disappointed.
The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is a brand new RPG based off of the comics, and more loosely, the TV show of the same name. Plans are to incorporate storylines from Fear The Walking Dead into it later as well, but for now, this game takes place in Woodbury, GA, during the worst of it. Your management will build Woodbury into a productive town, and your choices determine whether to side with the Governor or to side with the others.
