Fallout 4 has 275 separate XP levels, one for each individual perk - pg 35

It has been confirmed that each individual perk in Fallout 4 carries its own XP levels that will tie into your overall XP rank. What does it mean for you? It means that there will likely be tons more potential play time than in Fallout 3 because there will likely be incentives for levelling up certain perks and playing the game multiple times. In total, the game has 275 separate XP levels.

I really hope the Experience gain on Very Hard is different from Normal/Easy/Hard. That was a mistake in New Vegas that they made it having no difference except in the challenge.

That was a nice touch although going to Level 30 in less than 20 hours made the game boring after maxing everything out.

I will definitely level everything to the max!

Professor_K3544d ago

Another mistake New vegas made was having DeathClaws reward as much exp as a fire gecko. That always made me so mad

but at least i got some death claw eggs for my omelets.

DarkOcelet3544d ago

Exactly, there was no balance in exp between tough monsters and weak ones and i did not like that at all.

LAWSON723544d ago (Edited 3544d ago )

It is for balance issues probably, they don't want you spamming one location just to level up. The only enemies that probably grant bonus XP are unique ones. I don't blame them if that is why and I see no reason to change it.

Professor_K3543d ago

Death Claws in the quary dont respawn after you kill them

And you know how much exp i got for killing the Alphas?

75

NukaCola3544d ago

Oh and I hope there is no Hardcore mode mandated to platinum. And no do 10,000 points of something, like New Vegas had

DarkOcelet3544d ago

Yeah, hardcore mode was more like a chore than a challenge.

Sly-Lupin3544d ago

Uh... has anyone ever even bothered to pay attention to levels in a Bethesda game?

DragonKnight3544d ago

Yes. The community always talks about softcap levels, level tiers, etc.. all the time.

The amount of discussion I saw on follower levels for Skyrim was immense.

Stop teasing me with these articles!

christian hour3544d ago

Is this really a surprise? I figured the way levelling was done in ESV:Skyrim would carry over and evolve in to future Bethesda Games.

SlightlyRetarted3544d ago

This leveling system is nothing like Skyrim. Thank god...

Fallout 4 on Switch 2 seems inevitable, but what about Starfield?

A Fallout 4 Nintendo Switch 2 port seems like an inevitability, but what about other Bethesda RPGs like Starfield.

I think all games will end up on switch from Xbox. MS has embraced going to other platforms now if games aren't doing well on Nintendo MS may be more selective in the future

On playstation they have been quite successful

anast35d ago

I'm not sure too many people want to play Starfield.

Profchaos35d ago

Phils all but confirmed they are going in hard with the switch 2

TheColbertinator35d ago

All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.

Starfield is actually a RPG. Bethesda hasn't done that in a while.

GhostScholar137d ago

People acted like starfield was so less interesting than fallout and drastically different, but I call bs on that. Both are decent games, but they are both filled with the appearance of things to do and items to interact with but 99 percent are just there to be there with no significance. Fallout has better character work but they are both sort of illusions that they’re vast.

Studio has been going downhill since Skyrim. Every following game gets dumbed down more than the previous. I'll be shocked if Elder Scrolls VI even has dialogue options.

anast136d ago

Fallout 4 was bad, real bad. Starfield might even be a better RPG.

trez1082136d ago

Fallout 4 wasn’t a great fallout game per se but real bad? I don’t know maybe I’m a little biased because I replied it not long ago and had fun with it.
