Ozzie:
Last week, it was time for PlayStation 4 owners to take aim with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 with the first opportunity to play around with the game's multiplayer. The beta period is a significant moment for Treyarch, simply because it's one of the first times that a Call of Duty game has offered this kind of early hands-on with its multiplayer. There were clearly high hopes and there are definitely encouraging signs for fans of the series, while there are also a couple of areas to be concerned about.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 has a new paintball mod in the works which aims to restore classic CoD multiplayer, if you’re tired of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2
Marvel’s Avengers, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Bloodborne earn top spots across PS5, PS4, and PC.
Too bad God of War isn't on PSNow. It would've slaughtered the Avengers and Aloy!!
I need to cancel my subscription, there’s rarely anything I like that I don’t already have
Darksiders Genesis, Little Nightmares and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number are also playable from today.
Terrible month. Detroit and Black Ops 3 (available for a limited time) are already in the PS Plus Collection, and Detroit was also a free game on PS Plus years ago. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is terrible. Only the smaller games that were added are good additions.
PS Plus is way better than PS Now right now (quality > quantity) and has been good for a long time, and great since the PS5 released. I was tempted to subscribe to PS Now over the holidays but I just didn't trust in the quality of the service. They need to up their game because the quality of the service is deteriorating. I'm starting to wonder if they're going to ditch PS Now as we know it and basically add it as an extra tier to PS Plus because that's what they've been prioritizing.
Great for me.
I was looking to play darksiders genesis...it's the last one I need to play. And little nightmares is another one I wanted to try.
The rest I've already played or am not interested. Overall I think they're great additions.
It was alright, not day one, but good enough to warrant a purchase later on.
I haven't played a Call of Duty game in quite some time, so can't compare it to the recent ones, but I thoroughly enjoyed the new mechanics and gameplay.
The beta was great on PS4 with no lag and awesome wall running.
I watched a couple of hours of recorded live feeds on ps4. I have to say all in all it really didn't look too band and did have a very fluid nature about the movements. I already feel like i know one of the maps by heart. I really am liking the "glitch" specialist. my only complaint from watching is the plain jane gun sounds when firing. it sounds just like bo/2. the game seems to play better than AW which was total junk and i never bought it after my two days of renting. i will probably rent this like i did AW and see if it is as hot as it looks. but it will take a lot to pull me off of mw3 on ps3 and batman and battlefront when i get my ps4. but so far i do like what i see out of treyarch.
I was highly looking forward to Treyarch's entry, but it didn't suck me in as much as WaW, BO1 and BO2 did.
My subjective thoughts:
PROS
+ It's better than Advanced Warfare in nearly every way.
+ Almost every gun is effective. Maybe too effective.
+ The class system is kind of neat.
+ You can paint your guns.
+ No dashing, which slows the pace down a bit, making game types like S&D relevant again (curse you AW).
CONS
- The damage on Core is way too high. As soon as you start getting shot, you have approximately zero time to react. Granted it's only a beta. But after Advanced Warfare, I doubt this will change.
- No character customization.
- Sliding is not as fun as diving.
- You now punch when you melee unless you equip the knife. I guess enough people cried about panic knifing.
- Wall running doesn't feel as good as Titanfall's.
- The beta maps weren't all that great.
On a side note: Is it just me, or does the announcer sound like the "Next on AMC" guy?
