Short Takes - Kung Fury: Street Rage (PS4) - Cleaning The Streets Of Nazi Filth

Short Pause: "Coming into Kung Fury: Street Rage, I was expecting an experience similar to one of my favorite Sega Genesis titles, Streets of Rage. While Kung Fury has the style of Sega’s legendary brawler of yesteryear, the gameplay is actually quite a bit different, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn what this game actually entails. While not exactly the Streets of Rage-esque game I was expecting, it's still a challenging wave-based brawler at its core."

Only $1.99? At the price my expectations will be low enough that it'll be near impossible for this game to disappoint! Plus, beating Nazi's down is always a good time.

Man it gets crazy when you're up in the 100,000 tier.

Great game + great movie = better game

I like the Kung Fury short movie (they did say take were working on other projects)...but a game that doesn't look nothing like Streets of Rage I don't know.

Should've gone with the digitized character look from the original Mortal Kombat and the Street Fighter The Movie game. I think it would've worked better with how the movie looks rather than using sprites.

Think something like the arcade game NARC but with the neon soaked look of Kung Fury. Maybe next time.

This is cool but can we please get a full length feature film already

ARESWARLORD2893d ago

I don't know what kind of crack pipe you're smoking but I definitely wouldn't mind a hit from it the game is absolute s*** the only reason to purchase it is to support the guys who made the awesome movie You'll Play it once you'll never play it again but the money is going to a good cause don't spread stupidness man

BSD2892892d ago

Seriously! This game is £3.29!! It's simple, addictive as hell, and has awesome music! Now i am willing to accept the fact that i am an 80's kid, so nostalgia for the era weighs heavily on my appreciation of this game. But to say it's rubbish is wrong. I re-iterate.. Game cost £3.29..... What do you expect from it

ARESWARLORD2892d ago

Man I grew up in the 80s as well. Apparently have time today at all I can kind of respect your opinion but at the same time I can't since you grew up with the same stuff I did I don't care what it cost it doesn't matter we're talking about a game in general this is no Streets of Rage final fight or Double Dragon come on man this would have been garbage in the 80s as well

They made the movie into a game? When did this happen???

cyckiewicz3392d ago

They release it shortly after the movie.
It's worth buying. It's cheap as hell on PS Store and f2p on mobile. Give it a shot. Really worth it!

Do yourself a favor, head to Youtube and watch Kung Fury. Its about 20 mins or so long, but they fit every stitch of 80's culture into one short film. And its glorious.
