It is safe to say that Nintendo has scored big with the Amiibo's. Most are very hard to find, some are impossible. Flippers have really cashed in by taking advantage of the short supply and high demand, selling certain figures upwards of 10x their MSRP. Let's not forget about multi-child households having to buy multiples of each figure so each child can have their own figure. What if there was a way to not have to buy two of every figure, but also have all of them at your fingertips, their stats and data on one convenient device that works on your 3DS and Wii U? Enter the Amiiqo.
Retailer listings indicate that there'll be a price increase for various Nintendo amiibo that have been announced for 2025.
$40 is absolutely ridiculous. $15 made sense, but you can literally get full on games for $40… what in the hell is going on?
NE: "Today, we're looking at the most and least useful amiibo characters when it comes to Nintendo Switch games."
NE: "Nintendo's beloved lineup of amiibo figures turns 10 years old - we reminisce over its past, present, and future."
How is Ninty blocking people from Youtube uploads but this device exists?
This won't last long, since it's gonna cut into Amiibo profits by allowing illegal downloads of figures that people haven't paid for.
A pirates' dream device for Amiibo collecting, but little else worth note.
Truly shameless.
If only there was a reason to even use the Amiibo in games. Outside of outfits and AI fighters, there really is nothing that they add gameplay wise.
It is kind of sad that the best implementation of an Amiibo in game is going to come from Activision in Skylanders. A true missed opportunity by Nintendo. If there were an actual reason gameplay wise to own them, they would be even more valuable. As it stands there isn't and it is primarily collectors that are buying them. There is really no reason at all to even open them.
So this device basically let's you pirate the Amiibo toys in a sense by cloning them to this device. I wonder how quick Nintendo will hit them with a cease and desist.
