20th Anniversary Edition PS4 Wireless Headset and DualShock 4 Coming a Little Earlier Than Expected

Last month we reported that the retro-styled 20th anniversary PS4 Headset and DualShock 4 controller would be available from the end of September, to be precise, September 30th. The good news is that you won't have to wait that long to get your hands on the funky accessories. - The Games Cabin

Nice September 1st, now we can use them with MGSV.

The anniversary DS4 and gold headset are gorgeous and the same price as every DS4 and gold headset at release.

I hope the sell they Star Wars DS4 separately as well, it's lovely.

Still quite expensive, for me at least. I resent paying more for a peripheral than I would a game. But that's just me - mega cheap skate

XBLSkull3580d ago

I never owned the PS1 but own PS2/3/4, but I have to say that is pretty cool. It ain't the Xbox Elite controller, but provided this costs the same as a normal DS4 then I give it a thumbs up, good fan service.

Me-Time3580d ago

10 extra. I'm getting it, and I'm very frugal. I'm always waiting on games to drop to around 30 before I get them. GTA and GT are the exceptions.

MG too. :D

The halo 5 themed xbone controller is actually more than the regular controller when it 1st released, it's $70. That is something to be upset about but the anniversary controller/headset is the same EXACT price as every new DS4/Gold headset upon release.

The anniversary DS4 is the same price as the magma red DS4 bc the magma red DS4 released fairly recently, it's how it is, they didn't jack the price up like ms.

All my wants! Now for sony to release a ps1 themed ps4 without the bullsh!t of exclusivity. I don't care about rarity, I just want one.

Clown_Syndr0me3580d ago

May pick one up to replace my black one, replaced the triggers 3 times now but they keep on snapping.
My white one has been fine from day one though so I think theyve improved the design/build quality so hopefully this one would be good too!

Tdmd3580d ago

I'm ready for my second controller and this white dualshock looks quite pretty! X)

Tdmd3580d ago

Really? Oh, it's gorgeous all the same (maybe even more)! ;D

Relientk773580d ago

I'm getting 2 of those DualShocks

I hadn't played Metaphor until it was on GamePass and I can tell you I vastly prefer Clair Obscur. That said, I have never been a big fan of the Persona games.

Same tbh. I love persona but Metaphor felt dated to me personally. Expedition 33 definitely felt fresh.

CrimsonWing6912h ago

I could not get into Metaphor, whatsoever and I’m a huge Persona fan. I feel like Metaphor is incredibly overrated, but… and I know this is blasphemy, but I think Clair Obscur is slightly overrated as well.

I think that was on me though because everyone said it was the best thing since sliced bread and when I fired it up, I thought it was ok. I’d take Yakuza Like a Dragon, FF7 Remake/Rebirth, and Persona over it… heck I actually think Lost Odyssey is better. But to each their own.

RavenWolfx12h ago

Lost Odyssey is pretty underrated. Clair Obscur felt like a combo of Lost Odyssey, Legend of Dragoon, and some Shadow Hearts: Covenant, all amazing games that I love.

franwex8h ago

Yeah. Expedition 33 is a bit overrated. It’s cool to have a turn base RPG with a good story, I’m grateful. But it seems that the people that are more impressed don’t really play RPGs and see it as fresh air.

gurp12h ago(Edited 12h ago)

I love all of the persona games, but I cannot get into Metaphor for some reason, I am trying to play it
Clair Obscur is good, but I do not like the battle system, both Metaphor and Clair have great stories
I just finished Clair yesterday
Both Metaphor and Clair are very slightly overrated

GhostScholar11h ago

People seemed to love metaphor before it came to game pass. Odd.

Levii_9210h ago

I personaly really disliked ReFantazio, couldn’t get into it and i loved P5 back in the day. Clair Obscur is much, much better IMO. It cuts all the nonsense and bloat, focuses on fun, it’s much more intuitive, waaaay more focused and much better paced and it doesn’t have incoherent anime nonsense. And i found Refantazio take on the racism and classism to be very shallow. So no i don’t agree that they are two sides of the same coin.. i mean why? Just because they’re both turn based games? Get out of here with that.

For me it was like demon souls to blood Bourne.
I know not the same game but it’s the best example for me.

Just like bloodborne, expedition 33 was faster and more fluid.
And metaphor, just like demon/dark souls, it’s much slower.

For me I like the faster pace combat.
